Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

  • Comfort supporting youth with complex medical, mental health, and social needs.

  • Commitment to supporting program evaluation through accurate documentation and reporting of patient activity.
Responsibilities
  • Provide relationship-based care to young people.
  • Work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team to support youth.
  • Maintain accurate patient activity data for ongoing program evaluation.
  • Track unique patient volumes and the number of patients presenting without a valid Health Card Number.
  • Provide year-to-date statistics with a monthly breakdown to Nova Scotia Health Medical Affairs upon request.
  • Support review of billing and service encounter data as part of the program's annual evaluation.
  • Foster trusting relationships and create a safe, respectful space for all patients.
  • Empower young people to take charge of their health and well-being.
