Messa provides an AI-powered evaluation layer that plugs into a company’s hiring workflow to help teams make clearer, more consistent decisions. It generates AI-based candidate shortlists, customized interview guides, and evidence-based scorecards, with an on-interview Sidekick that guides interviewers in real time. The system learns from each interview to progressively refine evaluation criteria, while final hiring decisions stay with the client. Its goal is to move organizations away from guesswork toward a structured, fact-based hiring process that yields more reliable outcomes.

What believers are saying

  • Updated August 10, 2026 product pages show active development and frequent releases.
  • Messa reports 280 candidates evaluated for a June 2026 software-engineer funnel, signaling usage.
  • Open roles on July 9, 2026 suggest the company is still hiring and expanding.

What critics are saying

  • No disclosed funding on August 2026 leaves Messa vulnerable to runway shock by 2027.
  • Greenhouse, Ashby, and Lever can bundle similar AI evaluation features and compress pricing.
  • If hiring teams distrust transcript-based scoring, Messa becomes a nice-to-have workflow layer.

What makes Messa unique

  • Messa’s Sidekick guides live interviews, not just pre-screening, reducing note-taking fragmentation.
  • Its workflow plugs into Greenhouse, Ashby, BambooHR, and Lever without migration.
  • Messa drafts evidence-grounded scorecards from transcripts, preserving human accountability in hiring.
