NetDocuments expands ndMAX Studio with six new AI apps that transform legal knowledge into action. October 15, 2026 Latest release expands ndMAX Studio into family law, estate planning, and broadens corporate governance while growing the platform to 45 pre-built legal AI applications LEHI, Utah, Oct. 15, 2026 - NetDocuments, the #1 trusted intelligent document management system for legal professionals, today announced six new AI-powered applications for ndMAX Studio, expanding its growing library of legal workflows and bringing the Studio catalog to 45 pre-built apps. The latest release marks ndMAX Studio's expansion into family law and estate planning while adding new capabilities for fund formation, venture financing, and corporate governance. Together, the new applications help legal professionals uncover inconsistencies, validate critical information, reconcile transaction documents, and transform complex legal records into actionable knowledge. As legal teams continue to adopt AI, many are discovering that the challenge is no longer generating content. It's finding, validating, and connecting information spread across disclosures, agreements, filings, corporate records, and client documents. The newest additions to ndMAX Studio are designed to help legal professionals surface that information faster and put it to work more effectively. "Legal work depends on connecting information across documents and transforming it into knowledge that teams can act on," said Jared Beckstead, Senior Product Marketing Manager, AI, at NetDocuments. "These new ndMAX Studio applications help teams surface critical information, identify potential risks, and build institutional knowledge that becomes more valuable over time." Expanding AI into new areas of legal practice. This latest release extends ndMAX Studio into new practice areas while continuing NetDocuments' vision of connected legal workflows. The six new applications address a common challenge facing legal professionals: critical business and legal knowledge is often trapped inside documents. Whether reviewing financial disclosures, validating estate planning documents, reconciling financing terms, or tracking corporate actions across years of governance records, attorneys spend significant time piecing together information from multiple sources. For family law practitioners, NetDocuments is introducing the Divorce Financial Disclosure Analyzer, which compares financial disclosures, tax returns, retirement accounts, and supporting documentation to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential areas requiring further review. The company is also launching the Prenuptial Agreement Enforceability Analyzer, which evaluates agreements against jurisdiction-specific requirements and highlights provisions that may present enforceability concerns. For estate planning professionals, the new Will & Trust Internal Consistency Checker reviews documents for conflicting provisions, inconsistent references, missing clauses, and other drafting issues that can create downstream risk. By automating a traditionally time-consuming review process, firms can strengthen quality control before documents are finalized and delivered to clients. The release also expands ndMAX Studio's support for transactional and corporate legal work. The Fund Terms and Side Letter Management App extracts and organizes key provisions across fund documentation and side letters, helping legal teams track obligations, exceptions, and investor-specific terms. The VC Financing Definitive Terms Reconciliation App compares executed financing documents against negotiated term sheets to identify changes and unresolved issues before transactions close. Completing the release is the Corporate Actions Register App, which transforms board minutes, shareholder resolutions, and governance records into a searchable register of corporate actions. The result is a structured institutional record that can be referenced across future transactions, audits, compliance reviews, and governance activities. Built for legal workflows, not generic AI. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, every application in ndMAX Studio is purpose-built for a specific legal workflow and operates within the security, governance, and trust framework of the NetDocuments platform. With 45 pre-built applications and the ability to create and customize additional solutions through the ndMAX AI App Builder, firms, corporations, and government entities can deploy AI across specific processes while keeping their work, knowledge, and governance within a single platform. Each expansion of ndMAX Studio broadens the range of connected workflows available to legal professionals, helping them move beyond isolated AI tasks and toward systems that support how legal work actually gets done. Visit ndMAX Studio at studio.netdocuments.com to see all 45 apps and meet with NetDocuments experts. NetDocuments will be showcasing the ndMAX Studio during the Inspire conference, October 19-21 in Orlando, at its session, "From Ready-to-Run to Firmwide Transformation: Studio Apps Overview." NetDocuments expands its AI ecosystem through ChatGPT enterprise plugin. Existing NetDocuments plugin becomes available through OpenAI plugin library, bringing governed legal context directly into ChatGPT. NetDocuments // Sept 18, 2026 LEHI, Utah - NetDocuments, the #1 trusted intelligent document management system for legal professionals, announced its existing ChatGPT plugin is now available through the OpenAI plugin library, bringing NetDocuments' governed legal context together with OpenAI frontier models. The milestone is the latest expansion of NetDocuments' growing Model Context Protocol (MCP) ecosystem, which connects governed legal knowledge to leading AI platforms and applications. The plugin makes it easier for legal professionals to discover and activate NetDocuments directly within ChatGPT, providing secure access to firm knowledge while preserving existing permissions, governance policies, and security controls. More broadly, it reflects a shift underway across the legal industry. As organizations move beyond AI experimentation, the focus is turning from model capabilities alone to a more fundamental question: how they can use tools like ChatGPT to securely access the knowledge that already exists inside the firm. "Legal organizations are entering a different phase of AI adoption," said Heath Harris, Vice President of Applied AI at NetDocuments. "The conversations we're having today are less about models and more about whether AI can securely access the knowledge firms already have. Most organizations don't have a knowledge problem. They have an access problem. The opportunity is making trusted institutional knowledge available wherever legal professionals choose to work." Through NetDocuments' MCP architecture, AI applications can securely search and retrieve documents, uncover relevant precedent, compare and summarize content, and assist with drafting using the context of an organization's own work product and institutional knowledge. Existing permissions, ethical walls, and governance controls remain intact across every AI experience. By building once and connecting many times, organizations can bring the same trusted knowledge foundation to multiple AI tools without rebuilding integrations, governance frameworks, or security controls for each new application. The announcement also reinforces findings from NetDocuments' recently released Legal Context Engineering Benchmark, which demonstrated that AI systems become more effective, efficient, and reliable when grounded in trusted legal context. NetDocuments' AI ecosystem enables organizations to: * Work with the AI tools best suited to specific legal workflows * Ground AI outputs in trusted firm knowledge and work product * Maintain governance, permissions, and ethical walls across AI experiences * Reduce integration complexity through a unified context strategy * Preserve flexibility as new AI models and applications enter the market. "The legal industry isn't suffering from a shortage of AI models," Harris added. "New models, assistants, and applications are arriving faster than ever. The real challenge is turning AI into lasting business value. That's why we've invested in MCP, the Legal Context Graph, and an open ecosystem. Better models and better context are the keys. It's a firm's ability to bring its knowledge and governance to every model it chooses to use." ndConnect is NetDocuments' interoperability program giving authorized, approved third-party AI tools secure, governed access to NetDocuments content.
