Requirements
  • An Associate's degree in a science-based area of study, such as Chemistry, is required if there is no Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry is required.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to multitask in both a laboratory and production environment.
  • Flexibility to work second-shift hours and potential weekend coverage as required.
  • Hands-on involvement in laboratory, process, and shop-floor activities, with understanding of the physical manufacturing and testing processes.
  • Ability to develop and communicate succinctly summarized data analyses and project overviews.
  • Willingness to work closely with production operators and engage directly with the processes for which the role is responsible.
  • Ability to comply with safety and environmental policies and requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Support improvement projects involving data collection, time studies, audits, data mining, laboratory testing, and focused data collection activities.
  • Design and conduct quality assurance laboratory tests on incoming materials, intermediate process samples, and finished products.
  • Perform volatile organic compound analysis on raw materials and interpret the data to determine disposition for usage.
  • Develop understanding and expertise of material conversion processes within overall manufacturing processes.
  • Develop linkages between raw-material and laboratory testing, manufacturing processes, and final products to establish process and product improvements.
  • Use fundamental problem-solving tools and methodologies to improve processes and costs.
  • Further develop, improve, and expand existing incoming-quality processes.
  • Perform supporting quality and engineering activities, including 5S, Lean manufacturing, material-handling improvements, production-line configuration, and safety procedures.
  • Support plant initiatives for World Class Manufacturing implementation and expansion.
  • Perform additional quality and laboratory functions as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry, or a related field, is preferred but not required.
  • Six Sigma experience is preferred but not required.

Tarkett Increases Buy-Out Offer to €17

Tarkett Participation has increased its public buy-out offer for Tarkett shares from €16 to €17 per share, representing a premium of 40.6% and 46.1% over the 20 and 60-day average share prices, respectively, and a 25.5% premium over the last closing price before the offer on February 20, 2025. The Supervisory Board and an independent expert have endorsed the offer as fair, recommending shareholders tender their shares. The offer is subject to AMF review.
