MobSquad helps US-based startups and scale-ups access technology talent by creating a turnkey virtual Canadian subsidiary. Its service lets tech professionals who have US visa challenges continue working for their current employer, but from Canada (nearshore). The process hinges on a government partnership that issues work visas for tech workers and their families within four to six weeks, with permanent residency possible in six to eight months. MobSquad also brings in top global tech talent and relocates them to Canada to work with its clients on an exclusive, long-term basis. Beyond staffing, MobSquad handles ongoing administration for talent in Canada, including immigration support, resettlement, payroll, legal, tax, HR, real estate, benefits, and accounting. In short, MobSquad fills the talent gap by providing a nearshore talent pipeline, end-to-end relocation and admin support, and a stable, long-term talent relationship for its clients.

What believers are saying

  • MobSquad’s website was updated July 2026, signaling ongoing operational activity.
  • The company still recruits technical experts globally, expanding supply beyond Canadian talent.
  • The 2025 Globe report cited $11 million financing and expansion plans into multiple cities.

What critics are saying

  • Government grants tied to job creation create execution pressure if hiring lags past 2026.
  • Competitors like Terminal and remoteborder software compress MobSquad’s visa-arbitrage advantage quickly.
  • If immigration policy tightens or subsidy support ends, MobSquad’s core model weakens sharply.

What makes MobSquad unique

  • MobSquad pairs U.S. startups with Canadian engineers under visa-pressure, nearshoring from Canada.
  • MobSquad still markets Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, and Halifax offices as delivery hubs.
  • MobSquad’s immigration, payroll, tax, and resettlement bundle lowers hiring friction for employers.
