Requirements
  • Experience in project logistics, supply chain, or project delivery, preferably within the nuclear, energy, or other safety-critical sectors.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply-chain management across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, transportation, construction, and commissioning.
  • Experience coordinating equipment and material delivery, shipment readiness, logistics planning, and material traceability within complex projects.
  • Experience interfacing with suppliers, manufacturers, logistics providers, and project delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, including monitoring delivery performance, analysing logistics data, preparing reports, and identifying supply-chain risks.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and provide constructive challenge where required.
  • Ability to identify and implement practical solutions to logistics, supply-chain, and delivery issues.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build effective relationships across internal and external organisations.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Fluency in English.
  • HNC, HND, or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Project Management, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience delivering logistics and supply-chain solutions within complex project environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering equipment, materials, or services safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.
  • Experience managing suppliers and resolving logistics, delivery, and supply-chain issues.
  • Ability to coordinate and influence a wide range of stakeholders within a multicultural and complex project environment.
  • Experience working within a quality-controlled, contract-led, or safety-critical environment.
Responsibilities
  • Support the development of quality assurance and quality control arrangements for deployment across the organisation.
  • Implement key quality arrangements covering quality execution, supplier technical assessment, manufacturing surveillance, non-conformance management, and quality release certification.
  • Resolve issues relating to quality implementation and support improvement actions.
  • Review, accept, and monitor Contractors Quality Assurance Plans provided by the supply chain.
  • Identify supply-chain audit needs and engage Supply Chain Auditors to perform audits and resolve findings.
  • Produce Project Quality Control Plans for the supply chain.
  • Deploy contractual quality arrangements, including the General Quality Assurance Specification, Life Time Quality Records Specification, Quality Release Certificate, and Inspection and Test Plan Specification.
  • Provide guidance to contractors on quality assurance plans, Life Time Quality Records partitioning strategies, and Quality Related Activities.
  • Lead Life Time Quality Records reviews and support strategies for their progressive provision by contractors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contracted inspection entities.
  • Apply graded manufacturing surveillance based on equipment safety function and project importance, and monitor inspection-agency performance.
  • Review supplier Inspection and Test Plans to verify that they are fit for purpose and correctly distributed for internal review and witness-point marking.
  • Establish and check planned inspection witness and hold points in supplier Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Plans, and Follow Up Documents, and monitor completion.
  • Coordinate and improve manufacturing-documentation review and inspection activities performed by contracted inspection entities.
  • Coordinate and lead review and acceptance of relevant manufacturing documentation provided by contractors.
  • Perform joint inspections when required.
  • Support monitoring and technical resolution of non-conformances, including corrections and corrective actions.
  • Support review and acceptance of End of Manufacturing Reports, End of Construction Status Reports, and End of Erection Status Reports.
  • Review and deliver end-of-manufacturing records, leading to quality release of equipment to the construction site.
  • Produce quality documentation, including specifications and procedures, as required.
  • Implement the quality execution plan within the programme and conduct reviews and checks to ensure quality is delivered efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements.
  • Ensure supplier quality-control requirements are specified within tender contract documentation.
  • Ensure quality management processes are correctly applied.
  • Monitor supplier delivery commitments and recovery plans.
  • Challenge suppliers where delivery performance is at risk.
  • Coordinate logistics interfaces between multiple suppliers and project functions.
  • Track equipment status from manufacture through site delivery.
  • Identify supply-chain constraints and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Support supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure logistics requirements are understood by suppliers and contractors.
  • Maintain visibility of upcoming deliveries and potential impacts on construction activities.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies covering equipment and material delivery planning, shipment and transportation readiness, manufacturing and delivery schedules, inspection and release requirements, material traceability, delivery documentation, site receipt and handover, construction sequencing, and delivery constraints.
  • Report supplier delivery performance, equipment and material readiness, upcoming shipments and deliveries, schedule adherence, logistics risks and constraints, outstanding documentation, delivery-related non-conformances, recovery actions, mitigation plans, and key logistics performance indicators.
  • Analyse supply-chain data and provide recommendations to improve delivery performance and mitigate programme risks.
  • Collaborate with programme and project management, procurement and commercial, engineering and quality, construction and site teams, manufacturers, suppliers, logistics and transportation providers, inspection organisations, and other project delivery functions.
  • Coordinate multiple stakeholders and provide constructive challenge where delivery, logistics, or supply-chain performance is at risk.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience of the nuclear sector, ideally nuclear new build.
  • Understanding of requirements and constraints associated with nuclear site logistics and delivery.
  • Experience managing complex or safety-critical equipment through manufacture, inspection, release, transportation, and site delivery.
  • Experience with supplier performance management and logistics recovery planning.
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality requirements, including inspection, documentation, traceability, and equipment release.
  • Ability to speak French.
  • Professional accreditation in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Project Management.
  • CIPS, CILT, or equivalent professional membership.
  • Commercial exposure, particularly supplier and contract management.
  • Experience working on HPC or another major nuclear new-build project.
  • Experience managing logistics interfaces with regulators, site organisations, or other safety-critical stakeholders.

Assystem's H1 revenue rises 2.5% organically to $371.2M on nuclear growth

Assystem reported consolidated revenue of €328.5 million for the first half of 2026, representing organic growth of 2.5% despite a 1.9% negative currency effect. The French engineering group's nuclear activities drove performance with 8.0% organic growth, accounting for 81% of total revenue. Revenue in France rose 4.2% organically to €201.1 million, led by strong momentum in nuclear new-builds and fuel cycle activities. International operations generated €127.4 million, remaining stable organically despite currency headwinds from the pound sterling, Indian rupee, and Saudi riyal. The UK showed robust growth in civil nuclear engineering and defence. However, business volumes declined in the Middle East, Central Asia region and India due to project endings and slower contract phasing. Assystem confirmed its full-year 2026 targets.

Assystem posts $187.4M Q1 revenue with 2.2% organic growth driven by nuclear sector

Assystem, an international engineering group, reported first-quarter 2026 consolidated revenue of €165.8 million, representing 2.2% organic growth driven by strong nuclear sector performance of 8.0%. Nuclear activities accounted for 81% of total revenue, up from 76% in the prior year. French operations grew 4.4% to €102.6 million, driven by momentum in fuel cycle activities, new-builds and digitalisation. International revenue declined 7.1% to €63.2 million, primarily due to a 6.0% negative currency effect from the pound sterling, Indian rupee and Saudi riyal. The UK showed robust growth in civil nuclear engineering and defence. Assystem secured key positions on government frameworks and its client Rolls-Royce SMR signed a contract with Great British Energy for three small modular reactors.
