QUI Tequila produces Luxury Extra-Añejo Cristalino sipping tequila in small batches in Jalisco, Mexico. Each batch is aged for three and a half years in hand-selected American whiskey and French Bordeaux barrels, which yields the rare extra-añejo designation and flavors like hazelnut, vanilla, and butterscotch. After aging, the tequila is filtered and redistilled to create an exceptionally smooth finish, marketed as the world’s first platinum extra-añejo tequila. The product stands out from competitors through its long maturation, premium wood finishes, and a cristalino filtration that preserves complexity while yielding clarity. The company aims to offer a high-end, luxury tequila experience that has earned recognition, including a Gold Medal in the Spirits of the Americas Competition and accolades from the Wall Street Journal as one of the best bottles to buy now.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • 2025 Nobu Rare sold through a 300-set collector launch and 1,650-unit editions.
  • QUI still markets retailer onboarding, signaling active distribution expansion.
  • The brand keeps earning recognition, including Spirits of the Americas gold and Wall Street Journal praise.

What critics are saying

  • QUI sells only in NJ, NY, TX, and CA, limiting scale.
  • 2025 Nobu Rare sets were limited to 300 and 1,650 units, constraining revenue.
  • If premium novelty fades, QUI becomes a small tequila niche with weak moat.

What makes QUI Tequila unique

  • QUI claims the world’s first platinum extra añejo tequila, aged 3.5 years.
  • Its clear, filtered profile separates it from standard dark extra añejos.
  • Nobu and KAWS 2025 collaborations give QUI luxury-culture positioning.
