Requirements
  • All incumbents must satisfactorily complete the Cooper IDX training program covering registration, scheduling, E-Commerce, and FSC.
  • Annual eligibility certification is required.
  • At least 1-2 years of clinical operations experience in a fast-paced physician practice or clinical site within the Cooper University Health Care System, including rooming and triaging patients.
  • Experience scheduling, registering, and working with an electronic health record, including front-desk knowledge.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with IDX and Epic is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant Clinical Training program is required.
  • Current documentation of national certification as a Registered Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic or sterile technique, and infection-control best practices.
  • Computer literacy, typing skills, and comfort with Microsoft Office software.
  • Reliable transportation and availability to travel to various clinical locations as determined by management.
Responsibilities
  • Function as a supervisor to clinical staff under the direction of the manager of clinic operations.
  • Prepare evaluations and provide input on staff performance.
  • Administer staff evaluations and bring disciplinary matters to the manager.
  • Provide medical assistant support to providers when staffing needs require it.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and care in accordance with the Patient’s Bill of Rights.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, and health care team members.
  • Provide on-site training.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model while demonstrating Cooper’s Core Values.
