Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • April 13, 2026 SEC filings show active operations and continued regulatory upkeep.
  • The Industry Spread reported December 2025 net capital of $3.07 million, above minimums.
  • A January 13, 2026 commercial lawsuit shows ongoing business activity, not stalled operations.

What critics are saying

  • The 2026 SEC FOCUS amendment signals reporting issues; compliance failures destroy trust fast.
  • BrokerCheck shows three regulatory disclosures and $65,000 in CBOE fines, tarnishing credibility.
  • A 2012 SEC enforcement history still hangs over the brand, making future scrutiny likely.

What makes Hold Brothers unique

  • Hold Brothers runs a self-clearing direct-access equities desk, not a challenge-fee prop shop.
  • It monetizes active traders through a $30,000 funded account model and trading fees.
  • Its FINRA membership and SEC reporting infrastructure create legitimacy for licensed US equity traders.
