Amazon class action lawsuits overview: * Who: A federal panel consolidated six proposed class action lawsuits filed by consumers in several states against Amazon.com Inc. and Amazon.com Services LLC. * Why: The panel found that the cases, which accuse Amazon of refusing to refund shoppers, share common questions of fact. * Where: The Amazon class action lawsuits will proceed in Washington federal court. A federal panel has centralized a group of proposed class action lawsuits accusing Amazon of denying online shoppers refunds for tariff costs. On Oct. 2, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) sent five cases filed by consumers in Florida, Michigan, New York and Ohio to Washington federal court, where consumers filed the first Amazon lawsuit on May 15, Law360 reports. The consumers claim Amazon raised prices to recoup the cost of tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. After the U.S. Supreme Court struck down those tariffs in February, Amazon refused to give shoppers a tariff refund, the plaintiffs allege. U.S. District Judge Tana Lin merged the two Washington cases in June, and the panel assigned the centralized litigation to Judge John H. Chun. Amazon and the Washington plaintiffs supported centralization, but plaintiffs from Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio and New Jersey raised several arguments against an Amazon-specific MDL. Tariff refund case from New Jersey may join Amazon lawsuit. The panel issued a conditional order on Oct. 5 to transfer another case from New Jersey. The order states that the case appears to involve questions of fact common to those already sent to Judge Chun. The transfer is not yet finalized. Centralization puts evidence gathering and class certification rulings before one judge, which the panel said would prevent duplicated effort and inconsistent rulings, according to Law360. The plaintiffs outside Washington asked the panel to wait until its next hearing session to consider a separate motion to consolidate all the cases into one proceeding. However, the panel refused, saying the delay would be unnecessary. Meanwhile, in September, Walmart faced two additional tariff class action lawsuits, while similar lawsuits targeted Puma, Abercrombie & Fitch and fitness equipment company Peloton. Do you think Amazon owes shoppers a refund? Let us know in the comments. The plaintiffs are represented by Hunter J. Shkolnik, Salvatore C. Badala and Shayna E. Sacks of Napoli Shkolnik; Stuart A. Davidson of Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP; Michael J. Fuller Jr. of Farrell & Fuller LLC; Steve W. Berman, Sydney K. Thomas, Christopher R. Pitoun and Dana Abelson of Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP; and Kelly L. Tucker, Matthew Denn and Thomas Walsh of Grant & Eisenhofer P.A. Seated Strength and Cardio adds 8 effective Peloton workouts. Peloton's new Cross Training collection brings five instructors and eight chair-based classes across strength, cardio, and stretching. Seated Strength and Cardio is the newest Cross Training collection on Peloton, with eight classes that deliver strength, cardio, and stretching workouts entirely from a chair. All eight classes arrived in the on-demand library on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with five instructors leading the way: Logan Aldridge, Adrian Williams, Matty Maggiacomo, Camila Ramón, and Andy Speer. Discover more Stream New Podcasts Peloton frames the collection around movement made for each member, with effective, challenging sessions built for a seated position. Members choose the movements and modifications that work for them, so every class in Seated Strength and Cardio can be shaped around individual needs. Logan Aldridge opens with the 5 min Seated Strength Warm Up and follows with 10 min Seated Core Strength. Matty Maggiacomo narrows the focus in 10 min Seated Arms & Shoulders Strength, and his class thumbnail shows him working with dumbbells from the chair. The two longest strength classes share a title. Camila Ramón and Andy Speer each lead a 20 min Seated Upper Body Strength class, so members can take the same format with two different coaches. Anyone who already follows Andy's programming can dig deeper with its guide to Andy Speer Peloton strength classes. Having two versions of the same upper body class also gives Seated Strength and Cardio built-in variety for members who like to repeat a format from week to week. Cardio and Stretching in Seated workouts. Two 20-minute classes cover cardio. Adrian Williams leads 20 min Seated Cardio, while Logan Aldridge raises the intensity in 20 min Seated HIIT Cardio. Both bring heart-rate work into the Seated Strength and Cardio collection alongside its strength sessions. Adrian closes out the lineup with 5 min Seated Stretch, the only Stretching class in the collection. At five minutes, it pairs easily with any of the other seven seated workouts. How Seated Strength and Cardio expands Peloton's seated training. Seated classes are not new to Peloton. Logan Aldridge joined the company in 2021 as its first adaptive training consultant, and his seated programming has long lived inside the Adaptive Training Collection. Seated Strength and Cardio widens that footprint. Four more instructors from Peloton's strength and cardio lineup now teach from a chair, and the classes sit in the Cross Training library as their own collection. Peloton also offers a guide to chair exercises on its blog for members who want more background on training from a seated position. How to start Seated Strength and Cardio. The collection is listed under Cross Training in Peloton's Collections, with all eight classes available on demand. A simple starting session pairs the 5 min Seated Strength Warm Up, one 20-minute strength or cardio class, and the 5 min Seated Stretch for a 30-minute workout. Members who want more time can add Logan's 10 min Seated Core Strength or Matty's 10 min Seated Arms & Shoulders Strength to reach 40 minutes of seated workouts. Peloton has not announced a schedule for new additions, but collections can grow over time, and more classes could join Seated Strength and Cardio in the future. For now, five instructors teaching across Strength, Cardio, and Stretching place chair-based training firmly within Peloton's everyday Cross Training library. Peloton launches first foldable treadmill with new AI training features. April Ossington | 25 Sep 2026 Peloton is expanding its home fitness range with three new treadmills, including its first foldable model and a suite of AI-powered features designed to personalise workouts. The new line-up comprises the Tread Flex, Tread Vision and flagship Tread Plus Vision, with all three models scheduled to go on sale from October 1. The Tread Flex is the most affordable of the three at US$2,200, equivalent to approximately A$3,300. It is also Peloton's first treadmill designed to fold away, reducing its floor footprint by up to 50 per cent when not in use. That design could make the treadmill better suited to apartments and smaller home gyms. Peloton is positioning the model primarily towards walking, hiking and lower-impact exercise rather than intensive running. Sitting above it is the Tread Vision, priced at US$3,500, or approximately A$5,250. It features a 23.8-inch swivelling display, speakers tuned by Sonos and an integrated camera. The model is designed for walking, jogging and running, as well as strength workouts away from the treadmill. The Tread Plus Vision sits at the top of the range for US$6,700, approximately A$10,050. Designed with higher-mileage runners in mind, it uses a slat-belt running surface and ball-bearing system and incorporates Peloton's latest training technology. A major part of the update is Peloton IQ, which introduces several AI-assisted features across the range. Run Analysis examines metrics including cadence, vertical oscillation and stride length, providing information that can be used to assess running form and efficiency. IQ Pace Targets can recommend speeds based on an individual's selected training goals. Heart Rate Zone Workouts can also use information from compatible smartwatches and fitness trackers to personalise training targets. Peloton has introduced ReRuns, which can recreate the incline changes from outdoor running routes recorded through the Peloton app. Sled Mode provides another training option, adding up to 300lb, or approximately 136kg, of resistance for strength-focused workouts. Peloton IQ will also support biometric information from Whoop devices, expanding Peloton's existing integrations with Apple Health, Fitbit and Garmin Connect. The new treadmills are scheduled to go on sale from October 1. Australian pricing and availability have not been confirmed.
Peloton Tread Flex price and release date. The Tread Flex is the entry point to a three-machine lineup announced on the same day, and it undercuts every treadmill Peloton has sold before. The company's product page lists it at $2,195, or $182.92 a month over 12 months at 0% APR through Affirm for buyers who qualify. For scale, Peloton's original 2018 Tread launched at around $4,000. Alongside the hardware, Peloton is rolling out three software features on 1 October: Run Analysis, IQ Pace Targets and ReRuns, plus an integration with the Whoop fitness band. The machine is fronted by a "Let Yourself Run" campaign with Miley Cyrus. Discover more Engineering & Technology Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence How the three new treadmills compare. The three machines differ in three things that matter: whether there is a camera, how fast and steep they go, and what the running surface is made of. The Tread Flex is the only one that folds and rolls away, which is its entire reason for existing. Peloton rates it at 70db in use. The Tread Vision adds a cooling fan, Sonos-tuned audio, a phone tray and jump buttons for speed and incline. The Tread+ Vision keeps the slat-belt deck of the outgoing premium machine and, according to Engadget, adds a Sled Mode with 30 to 300 pounds of resistance. Why Run Analysis does not work on the Tread Flex. Run Analysis is the headline new feature of this launch, and it is the one thing the cheapest machine cannot do. It depends entirely on the movement-tracking camera, which the Tread Flex does not have - a first for a Peloton treadmill. The camera also drives Peloton IQ's strength features away from the treadmill, including rep counting, form feedback and weight recommendations. So the gap between the $2,195 and $3,495 machines is not mainly speed or screen size. It is whether the machine can see you. What the Tread Flex does still get: IQ Pace Targets, ReRuns and heart-rate zone workouts. Engadget reports that IQ Pace Targets needs about 10 running workouts logged before it produces personalised pace ranges, so neither machine delivers tailored pacing on day one. When each region gets the Tread Flex. The cheapest model is the slowest to arrive. Anyone outside North America reading that Peloton's most affordable treadmill goes on sale on 1 October should know it does not apply to them. * United States and Canada: Tread Flex on sale 1 October 2026. * Outside North America: Tread Flex from spring 2027. * Australia: Tread Flex from autumn 2027. * United Kingdom, Germany and Austria: Tread Vision on sale 1 October 2026; Tread Flex waits until spring 2027. * Australia, Tread Vision: on sale 2 October 2026. T3 reports international pricing of £1,999 in the United Kingdom, from €2,299 in Europe and AU$3,499 in Australia. Peloton has not confirmed a date for the Tread+ Vision outside the United States and Canada. As of 24 September 2026, none of the three machines is on sale yet; all three open for orders on 1 October, and Run Analysis, IQ Pace Targets and ReRuns arrive the same day. Peloton has given no month within spring 2027 for the international Tread Flex rollout and no country list beyond the markets named above. What it costs to Run, and what happens to the old treads. The hardware price is not the whole cost. Peloton's classes, Peloton IQ and Run Analysis all sit behind the All-Access Membership, which costs $49.99 a month in the United States - a price set in late 2025 and not changed by this announcement. Over three years that is roughly $1,800 on top of the machine, which is close to the price of the Tread Flex itself. For existing owners, the practical news is that the outgoing machines are going away. Peloton Buddy reports that the Cross Training Tread and Tread+ will no longer be sold directly by Peloton after 1 October, replaced by the Vision models, and that no trade-in programme is being offered. Run Analysis will work on the Cross Training Tread+, because that machine already has the camera. Anyone reviewing the subscription side of the commitment may want to read its guide to cancelling or pausing a Peloton membership. Owners of the band covered by the new integration can compare it in its Whoop versus Garmin comparison. Frequently asked questions. How much is the Peloton Tread Flex? The Peloton Tread Flex costs $2,195 in the United States and CA$2,995 in Canada. Peloton also lists financing at $182.92 a month over 12 months at 0% APR for eligible buyers. An All-Access Membership at $49.99 a month is separate. When does the Peloton Tread Flex go on sale? It goes on sale on 1 October 2026 in the United States and Canada, from spring 2027 in other markets and from autumn 2027 in Australia. Does the Peloton Tread Flex have Run Analysis? No. Run Analysis requires the movement-tracking camera, and the Tread Flex does not have one. The feature works on the Tread Vision, the Tread+ Vision and the existing Cross Training Tread+. Is the Peloton Tread Flex worth $1,300 less than the Tread Vision? The two machines match on top speed and incline at 12.5mph and 12.5%. The $1,300 difference buys the camera and the features it enables, a larger screen, a fan and better audio. The Tread Flex is the only one that folds away. What happens to the older Peloton treadmills? Peloton Buddy reports that the Cross Training Tread and Tread+ stop being sold directly by Peloton after 1 October 2026, with no trade-in programme announced. Existing machines keep working, and the Cross Training Tread+ supports Run Analysis.
