About the job
- A completed degree in business/computer science, engineering, or an IT vocational qualification, alternatively equivalent qualification through relevant professional and project experience.
- Substantial experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, Angular or a comparable component-based frontend framework, Kafka for event streaming, Elasticsearch for search and observability, and PostgreSQL.
- Practical experience with continuous delivery, continuous integration pipelines, and the Azure Cloud, including reliable high-quality deployments, automated testing, and rollback strategies.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes, and with monitoring, logging, and tracing in cloud environments; experience with infrastructure as code is desirable.
- Structured working style, automated testing, responsibility in a DevSecOps context, willingness to participate in team operations, and readiness for occasional on-call duties.
- Good written and spoken German skills at approximately B2-C1 level.
- Develop and operate Java applications, web applications, and microservices in the Azure Cloud using Docker and Kubernetes while ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
- Take responsibility with the team for technical conception, architectural decisions, implementation according to guidelines, code reviews, security by design, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Introduce new technologies into applications, evaluate options using clear criteria, implement proofs of concept, and transfer results into regular operations.
- Plan and implement solutions, perform automated testing, maintain observability, handle incidents, and operate services reliably in production.
- Help shape APIs and deployments, optimize build and release pipelines, identify automation opportunities, and share knowledge through pairing and reviews.
- Experience with infrastructure as code.
