  • A Master's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, operations research, statistics, mathematics, quantitative sciences, or relevant work experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience in data science or data engineering, with emphasis on the full lifecycle of data science and machine learning/artificial intelligence projects.
  • Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, relational or NoSQL databases, and cloud resource management.
  • Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing advanced analytics and machine learning/artificial intelligence algorithms, including statistical time-series, machine learning, neural network, foundational time-series, and mathematical optimization models.
  • Experience building end-to-end production-grade data and machine learning/artificial intelligence pipelines using PySpark, Python with Pandas and NumPy, and SQL.
  • Experience with Git or similar code management repositories as a collaboration tool.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, Dagster, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of Retail/Consumer Packaged Goods industry business challenges and applications in supply chain, pricing, promotions, markdowns, inventory allocation, assortment mix planning, size and pack optimization, retail shrink or fraud and anomaly detection, and workforce optimization.
  • Ability to present technical analysis to business stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design, optimize, and maintain scalable extract, transform, and load pipelines using PySpark and Databricks on cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop automated data validation processes to proactively perform data quality checks.
  • Use Databricks modules including Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, and MLflow to create and run experiments and automate and schedule jobs.
  • Optimize cloud resource and Databricks DBU allocation to manage and control cloud and Databricks consumption costs.
  • Use GitHub repositories to enforce production code management best practices.
  • Build and tune machine learning, artificial intelligence, and optimization models; identify algorithmic performance improvement opportunities; and perform experiments to demonstrate incremental value.
  • Communicate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and concerns and explain data deficiencies, model performance, root cause analysis, and model output.
  • Follow best practices in data architecture, coding, and project management operations.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders, engagement managers, data operations and job monitoring, product management, and software engineering teams.
  • Expand the use of analytics, machine learning/artificial intelligence, mathematical optimization, generative artificial intelligence/large language models, and agentic artificial intelligence for Retail/Consumer Packaged Goods use cases.

Operating margin improved to 20.6%, up from 14.2% in the same quarter last year. Free cash flow margin rose to 12.7% from 10.1%. Following the announcement, Zebra's stock jumped 11.9%. Chief executive Bill Burns attributed the record results to broad-based demand and strong supplier relationships.
