Klaviyo provides marketing automation and customer data management for e-commerce brands. It collects and stores data from online stores and apps, analyzes customer behavior, and uses that information to power personalized campaigns across email, SMS, and on-site/product recommendations. The product works by building audiences from stored data, then triggering automated messages and experiences based on customer actions (for example, welcome emails, cart reminders, and targeted product suggestions). What sets Klaviyo apart is its tight integration with e-commerce tools, its tiered subscription model based on contact count, and its partner programs that connect clients with experienced agencies to help maximize the platform’s potential. The company’s goal is to help e-commerce businesses strengthen customer relationships and grow revenue by using data-driven marketing and automation to engage shoppers at the right moment with the right message.

Klaviyo goes headless: 260+ MCP tools open to Claude, ChatGPT, and your agents.

Klaviyo goes headless: 260+ MCP tools open to Claude, ChatGPT, and your agents. C By Charles Summers · Sep 10, 2026, 9:05:26 AM Klaviyo is now headless. On September 9, 2026, at its K:BOS customer conference, Klaviyo announced that 260+ MCP tools and 490+ APIs are accessible directly from Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI system your team already runs. An agent can read your Klaviyo data, write to it, and put a campaign live without anyone opening the Klaviyo interface. That one sentence changes how you should think about your marketing stack. The interface is no longer the product. The data and the actions are, and any agent with the right credential can use both. What did Klaviyo actually announce? Per the official press release, the headless launch is the headline in a larger K:BOS batch: * 260+ MCP tools and 490+ APIs now reachable from Claude, ChatGPT, custom agents, or tools like Cursor and Lovable. Klaviyo cites brands building live reporting dashboards outside Klaviyo and automating weekly performance reviews that post findings to Slack. * SQL inside the Klaviyo Data Platform (preview): ask a question in plain language through Composer or MCP, Klaviyo translates it to SQL, runs it against your data, and returns the answer with the query that produced it. It covers profiles, events, segments, lists, and catalogs today, with flows and custom objects coming. * Personalization replaces Marketing Analytics as a platform layer, with specialized models deciding who to reach, what to show, and when. * Composer upgrades: scheduled tasks, saved team skills, segment editing, and a mobile app preview. Klaviyo says more than 138,000 users rely on Composer. * Customer Agent goes global with 100+ languages, and voice is coming as a channel. Klaviyo says the agent has exchanged more than 1.3 million messages. What Klaviyo did not publish matters too: no pricing for agent access, no rate limits, and no customer outcome data for the headless architecture. Every number above is Klaviyo counting its own surface area. Why does headless matter for marketers? Until now, the Klaviyo UI was the control layer. Send limits, approval steps, and permissions all lived in screens a human had to click through. When an agent reaches the platform through MCP or an API, those screens are not in the path. The only thing governing the agent is the scope on its credential. That is the same shift Hacking Demand LLC covered when OpenAI put agent swarms on marketing analytics: the work moves to software that arrives from outside the vendor that sold you the system. The upside is real. A weekly performance review that runs itself, a reporting dashboard your CEO can open without a Klaviyo seat, segments built by asking a question in plain English. The downside is equally real. An agent that writes a segment definition wrong does not get a confirmation dialog before the send goes to your whole list. | Get the next analysis first Agent access is landing across every major platform this quarter. Grab the AI readiness scorecard and get its next platform breakdown the morning it publishes. Get the AI readiness scorecard | What should you set up before giving an agent write access? Three controls, in order: 1. Scope the credential, not the prompt. Decide which objects an agent token can write. Read-only for analytics agents. Write access only for the specific objects a workflow needs. Never a full-scope key because it was faster to create. 2. Keep a human between the agent and the send button. Drafting campaigns, building segments, and querying data are safe to automate today. The final go-live on a large send should require a person until you have months of audit trail showing the agent gets it right. 3. Review the audit trail weekly. Decide now who reads what the agent did, because nobody will be watching it happen in real time. That is the entire point of headless. Does this change anything outside Klaviyo? Yes. Klaviyo is a B2C CRM, but the pattern is stack-wide. HubSpot exposes its platform to agents, OpenAI and Anthropic both ship agent frameworks that expect MCP endpoints, and vendors that stay walled gardens will get routed around. If your stack still assumes every action happens inside a vendor UI, you are one quarter behind the market this announcement describes. This is exactly the wiring work Hacking Demand LLC do. Whether you run Klaviyo, HubSpot, or a mixed stack, Hacking Demand LLC stand up MCP connectors and build workflow agents against your own tools, with your team keeping the final say on every send. | Want agents wired into your stack safely? Hacking Demand LLC build MCP connectors and agent workflows against your tools, scoped credentials and human sign-off included. Fixed price, live in days. See the MCP connector hack | Frequently asked questions What is headless Klaviyo? Headless means Klaviyo's data and actions are accessible without its user interface. As of September 9, 2026, 260+ MCP tools and 490+ APIs let Claude, ChatGPT, or any agent read Klaviyo data, write to it, and launch campaigns directly. Can ChatGPT or Claude really send a Klaviyo campaign? Yes, if you connect them through Klaviyo's MCP tools with a credential that has write access. Klaviyo states an agent can "read, write, and go live on its own." Whether it should is a permissions decision you control through credential scope. What does Klaviyo's MCP access cost? Klaviyo did not publish pricing, rate limits, or tier restrictions for agent access in the announcement. Check your plan before building on it. What is SQL in the Klaviyo Data Platform? A preview feature that turns a plain-language question into a SQL query against your own Klaviyo data and returns the answer alongside the query. It is available through Composer and MCP and currently covers profiles, events, segments, lists, and catalogs. What should Klaviyo customers do first? Audit credentials before connecting any agent. Scope tokens to the minimum objects a workflow needs, require human confirmation on sends, and assign an owner to review the agent audit trail weekly. MNTN and Klaviyo Connect CTV ads with email and SMS automation.

MNTN and Klaviyo Connect CTV ads with email and SMS automation. MNTN, Klaviyo Connect CTV With CRM Automation Connected TV is moving deeper into the marketing stack. MNTN and Klaviyo have launched a two-way integration that lets brands activate Klaviyo's first-party audiences on MNTN Performance TV and then use confirmed TV ad exposure to trigger personalized email and SMS journeys. The integration turns CTV from a largely standalone advertising channel into an actionable part of the customer journey. MNTN and Klaviyo have introduced an integration designed to connect Connected TV advertising with CRM and marketing automation, giving brands a way to coordinate television campaigns with email and SMS engagement. The integration works in both directions. Marketers can send Klaviyo audiences to MNTN Performance TV for activation, while exposure to an MNTN TV advertisement can subsequently trigger automated email or text-message workflows inside Klaviyo. That makes the advertising exposure itself part of the customer journey. For example, a retailer could use a Klaviyo segment containing repeat customers, cart abandoners or lapsed buyers to run a CTV campaign through MNTN. After a customer is exposed to the television ad, the brand can trigger a personalized email or SMS sequence through Klaviyo. The approach addresses one of the longstanding limitations of television advertising: its separation from the rest of the digital marketing infrastructure. Email, SMS and other digital channels can generally operate from shared customer data, behavioral events and automated workflows. Television has traditionally been harder to connect to those systems because advertisers have had less granular visibility into exposure and subsequent customer actions. MNTN's Performance TV platform is designed around a more measurable approach to CTV advertising. The new integration extends that model by connecting TV exposure with downstream customer engagement. From an advertising technology perspective, the important development is the use of first-party data across CTV and owned channels. Rather than building a separate audience for television, advertisers can use existing Klaviyo segments and keep those audiences synchronized through automated updates. That can be particularly relevant for commerce brands. A marketer could distinguish between a new prospect, a recent purchaser and a customer who has abandoned a shopping cart, then coordinate CTV exposure with different follow-up messaging. The integration also introduces a different role for CTV advertising. Instead of treating a television impression primarily as an awareness event, marketers can incorporate it into an automated sequence that continues across email and SMS. That convergence matters as advertisers look for stronger connections between media spending and measurable business outcomes. The broader CTV market is already moving toward this type of performance-oriented buying. IAB/PwC reported that U.S. digital advertising revenue reached $294.6 billion in 2025, up 13.9% year over year, while programmatic advertising reached $162.4 billion. Digital video revenue climbed to $78 billion. The integration also reflects the growing importance of first-party data as advertisers navigate a fragmented identity environment. Connecting owned customer data with CTV can give brands more control over audience definition while reducing dependence on disconnected media-buying workflows. For Klaviyo, the partnership extends its customer data and automation infrastructure into paid television. For MNTN, it creates a path for Performance TV to participate in workflows that traditionally centered on CRM, email and SMS platforms. The competitive landscape includes broader advertising and marketing platforms from companies such as Google, Amazon, Salesforce and Adobe, while CTV specialists continue building integrations that connect television exposure with customer-level outcomes. The key test will be measurement. Brands will need to determine whether coordinated TV, email and SMS sequences produce incremental conversions rather than simply concentrating activity among customers who were already likely to buy. If the integration can demonstrate that connection, CTV becomes more than another paid media endpoint. It becomes an event that can activate the next step in a marketer's customer journey. Market landscape. The MNTN-Klaviyo integration sits at the intersection of CTV advertising, first-party data, CRM and marketing automation. Historically, television buying operated largely outside CRM workflows. Programmatic CTV has narrowed that gap by introducing more addressability, automated buying and measurable outcomes. The next step is connecting media exposure with owned-channel activation. Integrations like this allow marketers to build sequences in which CTV creates an awareness or consideration event, followed by personalized email or SMS communication. This is particularly relevant to retail and ecommerce advertisers, where customer segments, purchase behavior and lifecycle marketing already play a central role. The model also creates new measurement questions. Advertisers will increasingly need to understand whether TV exposure changes email engagement, repeat purchases, cart recovery or customer lifetime value - rather than measuring CTV solely through impressions or reach. Top insights. * MNTN and Klaviyo connect CTV advertising with CRM automation, allowing TV exposure to trigger personalized email and SMS journeys. * Brands can activate existing Klaviyo first-party audiences on MNTN Performance TV without manually rebuilding customer segments for television campaigns. * The integration positions CTV as an automated customer-journey event rather than an isolated awareness channel. * Retail and ecommerce brands stand to benefit from coordinating television exposure with lifecycle segments such as repeat buyers and cart abandoners. * The development highlights the convergence of advertising technology, first-party data, CRM platforms and measurable cross-channel marketing.

MNTN and Klaviyo integrate performance TV with CRM for seamless marketing automation

MNTN and Klaviyo have launched an integration connecting performance TV advertising with email and SMS marketing workflows. The two-way integration allows marketers to activate Klaviyo customer audiences—including repeat buyers and cart abandoners—on MNTN's Connected TV platform, then automatically trigger personalised email and text campaigns after viewers see TV ads. The partnership addresses the historical disconnect between television advertising and digital marketing channels. Brands can now use a single customer data source across Connected TV, email, and SMS without manually rebuilding audiences. MNTN CEO Mark Douglas said the integration "unlock[s] the credibility and scale that TV can deliver for brands of any size". Klaviyo's Eddie O'Brien noted that marketing automation can now extend to TV, allowing brands to reach audiences "on the biggest screen in the home".

Klaviyo launches headless CRM with 400+ APIs for AI agents to run marketing analytics

Klaviyo has launched a headless version of its B2C CRM, exposing over 400 APIs through command-line tools and MCP to enable AI agents to handle marketing, analytics, and audits on customer data. CEO Andrew Bialecki explained that a built-in semantic layer encodes each business's rules, ensuring metrics like customer lifetime value account for factors such as refunds. The company combines frontier models with post-trained smaller models to achieve millisecond latency. Bialecki expects the new offering to drive usage growth first, followed by revenue increases. The headless approach allows businesses to integrate Klaviyo's capabilities more flexibly into their existing systems whilst leveraging AI automation for customer relationship management tasks.
