  • You have personally originated and closed meaningful business and have been accountable for a team- or company-level revenue target.

Responsibilities
  • Build and execute a targeted outbound strategy, create qualified pipeline, and lead opportunities from first conversation through proposal and close.
  • Develop relationships across sector teams, strategies, and offices within existing client funds, turning strong delivery into repeat and expanded revenue.
  • Build trust with deal professionals and senior decision-makers through relevant insights, thoughtful follow-up, and a strong understanding of their work.

  • Establish account planning, pipeline management, CRM discipline, forecasting, handoffs, and performance measurement.
  • Partner with marketing to turn content, events, partnerships, and inbound interest into commercial conversations and measurable pipeline.
  • Determine the next go-to-market hires, recruit and coach them, and create clear ownership across new business and account expansion.
  • Personally originate and close business before building the team and systems that make the approach repeatable.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial due diligence, private equity, or strategy consulting.
  • Experience selling research, expert-network, advisory, or technology-enabled services to investment teams.
  • A strong network across private equity deal teams.
  • Previous startup experience.

DiligenceSquared raises $5M to slash M&A research costs with AI voice agents

DiligenceSquared, a Y Combinator-backed startup, has raised $5 million in seed funding led by Relentless to make merger and acquisition research more affordable using AI. The company aims to provide consultancy-quality commercial diligence at a fraction of traditional costs. Founded by Frederik Hansen (formerly Blackstone) and Søren Biltoft (ex-BCG), DiligenceSquared uses AI voice agents to interview customers of potential acquisition targets. The startup claims it can deliver analysis for $50,000, compared to the $500,000 to $1 million charged by firms like McKinsey or Bain for similar work. Senior human consultants verify the accuracy of AI-generated insights. Since launching in October, the company has completed projects for several major private equity firms. Its main competitor, Bridgetown Research, raised $19 million in February.
