Responsibilities
  • Design and develop bed-of-nails fixtures optimized for probe access, signal integrity, mechanical robustness, and manufacturability.
  • Select, integrate, and implement automated test equipment hardware, including instrumentation, switching, power, and loads, in alignment with defined system requirements and architecture.
  • Ensure fixture reliability in production through proper probe selection, contact optimization, wear management, and maintenance strategies.
  • Develop and maintain standardized fixture design templates, best practices, and guidelines to enable efficient replication and scalability across test lines.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering to design fixture housings, alignment mechanisms, and actuation systems that ensure precision and repeatability.
  • Define and execute fixture qualification, validation, and bring-up procedures to ensure readiness for production deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize fixture and interface performance by addressing contact issues, signal integrity problems, and test stability.
  • Support manufacturing operations by resolving fixture-related issues, reducing downtime, and improving test yield and throughput.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source probes, materials, specialized components, and custom fixture solutions.
  • Document fixture designs, interface schematics, and maintenance procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

California homeowners can access up to $18,300 in incentives for home energy independence

dcbel announced California homeowners can access up to $18,300 in combined incentives for installing its Ara Home Energy Station. The incentives comprise up to $13,800 from the California Connected Home Rebate and up to $4,500 from Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Vehicle-to-Everything programme. The Ara system integrates solar power, battery storage, and bidirectional EV charging in one unit. It makes over 100 decisions per second to manage energy flow, helping households reduce electricity bills and prepare for outages. dcbel states the system enables homes to remain powered for up to 10 days during outages using an electric vehicle's battery. The company claims households can save up to $1,300 annually by using their EV to power homes during peak-pricing hours. Fewer than 50 spots remain, with rebates issued first-come, first-served.

Massachusetts homeowners get free bidirectional EV chargers through MassCEC V2X pilot

dcbel is participating in the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center's V2X Pilot Programme, which fully subsidises the cost of dcbel Ara Home Energy Stations, including installation, for eligible Massachusetts homeowners. The programme allows participants to use their bidirectional electric vehicles to power their homes during high energy rates and blackouts whilst supporting grid resilience. Massachusetts homeowners who own or lease a Nissan Leaf (2018-2025), 2025 Polestar 3, or 2025 Volvo EX90 without existing solar or storage can apply. Applications close on 30 September 2026. Ara enables smart charging during off-peak hours and can save homeowners up to $1,300 annually. During blackouts, it can leverage the EV's battery to power homes for up to 10 days. The pilot programme aims to gather real-world data on V2X system performance and user behaviour.

dcbel Secures Funding for Global Expansion

dcbel, a leading home energy company, has secured additional funding from Fidelity Investments Canada ULC to expand manufacturing globally and accelerate in-home installations. The company is opening a US logistics center in Louisville, KY, with UPS. In 2024, dcbel received a $52 million REDWDS grant and launched the California Connected Home Rebate program, covering over 80% of the cost for their Home Energy Station.

Dcbel secures $79M in funding.

Québec's seed-stage VC funding is rebounding, with 29 deals totaling $79 million since early 2025, a 31% increase from last year. Despite this, overall VC activity in Québec remains weak, with a 57% decline in total funding year-over-year. Sixty deals totaling $524 million closed in the first half of the year. Later-stage funding decreased by 35%, with only one growth-stage deal of $30 million. Public funds continue to play a significant role, comprising 40% of the ecosystem's funding.

In March 2025, Canada Growth Fund led a $55 million financing round in Montréal-based dcbel Inc., investing $40 million.
