  • A bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science is required.
  • Ability to perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
  • Must submit to a color-acuity screening test.
Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Technologist while providing technical and non-technical laboratory services.
  • Complete three months of training in the desired specialty area for categorical certification, or train in all laboratory areas for one year for generalist certification.
  • Become eligible to apply for the applicable technologist certification examination after one year of approved clinical laboratory experience.
