Requirements
  • Strong technical background in BESS, microgrids, or distributed energy resources.
  • Familiarity with BESS techno-economic design and energy market fundamentals, microgrid design software, and energy analytics software.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, manage pipelines, and execute consultative sales strategies.
  • Experience leading software demonstrations and communicating technical details to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales, including closing complex deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong English proficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively generate new leads through outreach, networking, and industry engagement. Inbound and outbound lead pursuit activities are expected.
  • Provide HOMER software demonstrations, guiding prospects through relevant workflows, capabilities, and value propositions.
  • Support technical scoping, solution architecture discussions, and pre-sales engineering needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and technical stakeholders.
  • Own the full B2B sales lifecycle—from lead qualification and needs assessment to proposal development, negotiation, and closing. Internal sales support will be provided.
  • Work closely with strategic customers to identify business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline and consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets (KPI).
  • Represent UL Solutions and HOMER software as a speaker or panelist at conferences, webinars, customer events, and industry workshops.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that showcase thought leadership in BESS, microgrids, energy digitalization, and software innovation.
  • Partner with the marketing team to support campaigns, contribute technical content, and refine messaging for target markets.
  • Provide feedback from the field to improve product positioning, sales collateral, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Provide client feedback and requests to the product teams
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other segments to identify and exploit synergies from existing clients. Establish regular channels of communication.
  • Attend regular UL Solutions and team meetings.
  • Contribute to the development of the strategy for HOMER software by providing input on customer needs, pain points, trends, etc., to the product team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience giving professional presentations or public-facing talks, especially at industry events, conferences, or webinars.
  • Background in engineering, renewable energy, power systems, or related technical field.
  • Experience selling into utility, C&I, EPC, or energy developer markets.
  • Minimum 5+ years of B2B related software sales experience

UL Solutions reports Q2 2026 revenue up 5.2% to $816M with 161.9% net income growth

UL Solutions Inc. reported strong second quarter 2026 results with revenue growing 5.2% to $816 million, driven by 6.6% organic revenue growth led by Industrial and Consumer segments. Net income surged 161.9% to $254 million, whilst adjusted net income increased 17.3% to $129 million. The company's net income margin expanded to 31.1%, up 1,860 basis points year-over-year, boosted by the sale of its Employee Health and Safety software business. Adjusted EBITDA rose 11.2% to $219 million, with margin expansion of 140 basis points to 26.8%. Diluted earnings per share climbed 168.9% to $1.21, and adjusted diluted earnings per share increased 13.5% to $0.59. UL Solutions opens automotive EMC laboratory in Japan's Toyota City

UL Solutions has opened a new automotive electromagnetic compatibility laboratory in Toyota City, Japan, beginning operations on 1 July. The 2,323-square-metre facility will provide EMC testing to help manufacturers protect vehicles from interference affecting critical systems like braking and steering. The Automotive Technology and Innovation Centre is among few EMC laboratories in Japan equipped for high-voltage, high-current, high-torque and high-speed rotational testing. Its chambers can handle up to 25,000 RPM and power supplies delivering up to 1,500 volts and 1,000 amps. Located in Japan's Tokai region, the facility strengthens UL Solutions' global EMC testing network and supports automakers in the world's third-largest vehicle market, which produced over 8 million vehicles in 2025.

UL Solutions prices $980M secondary offering at $49 per share

UL Solutions has priced an underwritten secondary public offering of 20 million shares of Class A common stock at $49 per share, raising $980 million. The shares are being sold entirely by selling stockholder UL Standards & Engagement, with underwriters holding a 30-day option to purchase an additional 3 million shares. The global applied safety science company will not offer any shares and will receive no proceeds from the sale. The offering is expected to close on 9 September 2024, subject to customary conditions. Latham & Watkins represented both UL Solutions and the selling stockholder, led by Chicago partners Cathy Birkeland and Christopher Lueking. The firm previously advised UL Solutions on its $1.08 billion IPO, one of 2024's largest initial public offerings.

UL Solutions beats Q1 estimates with $758M revenue and 26% EBITDA margin
