Requirements
  • Six to eight or more years of hands-on Workday Payroll configuration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Core HCM, including organizations, staffing, and business process configuration.
  • Solid understanding of payroll fundamentals, including earnings, deductions, tax setup, and pay calculations.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, especially People and Human Resources teams, to translate business needs into Workday configuration.
  • Ability to manage configuration changes through testing, validation, and release cycles.
  • Strong attention to detail and a compliance-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in core payroll mechanisms, including earning and deduction setups, tax configurations, and pay calculations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners, particularly Human Resources and People teams, to translate business requirements into technical system settings.
  • Commitment to regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to guide configuration updates across testing, validation, and release deployment phases.
Responsibilities
  • Own the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Workday Payroll module, ensuring accurate and compliant calculations, earnings, deductions, and pay results every pay cycle.
  • Design payroll configuration that integrates with Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, and Benefits, partnering with Human Resources Information Systems and Integrations teams as needed.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Payroll and People teams, owning the payroll stakeholder relationship and translating business needs into Workday configuration.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Core HCM organizations, business processes, and staffing so Payroll decisions align with the broader HCM foundation.
  • Lead payroll-impact analysis, regression testing, and validation for Workday releases and configuration changes before production deployment.
  • Serve as the escalation point for payroll configuration issues, partnering with Payroll Operations to diagnose root causes and implement fixes.
  • Maintain configuration documentation and governance practices so payroll setup remains auditable, consistent, and easy to hand off.
  • Own global configuration and optimization of Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Payroll functionality in Workday, beginning with the United States and expanding across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Lead full-cycle implementation, administration, and scaling for timecards, paid time off, leave types, overtime rules, and payroll input workflows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Time Tracking and/or Absence Management configuration.
  • Exposure to Workday integrations, including Enterprise Interface Builder and Core Connectors, and understanding how Payroll configuration feeds downstream systems.

Carta Law adds 4 senior leaders across US and Europe to support 200+ asset managers

Carta Law, the AI-native law firm for private capital, has appointed four senior leaders across its US and European operations. Noah Levine joins as Legal Director for North American Compliance, whilst Karin Porstendörfer becomes Compliance Director and Head of Inbound KYC in Luxembourg. The firm has also promoted Chrystel Marincich to Managing Director for Contracts Americas and Kenneth Howe to Managing Director for Contracts Europe and APAC. Both joined Carta Law two and a half years ago from private practice. The appointments support Carta Law's client base of over 200 asset managers, including 30% of the world's largest funds. The firm launched in May 2026 following Carta's acquisition of Avantia.
