Requirements
  • Provide a strong understanding of communications support to United States Army operations and training, United States Army simulation architectures and capabilities, and United States Army regulations and policies.
  • Hold a Department of Defense 8570 Information Assurance Technician Level II certification at minimum.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years of experience with network architecture design and implementation.
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Possess a Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical integration subject matter expert for integrating training networks, simulations, and mission command systems for exercises, producing integration checklists and validation reports.
  • Support the training audience with exercise technical planning, network architecture, and Technical Integration Working Groups, producing network architecture diagrams, working-group artifacts, and Technical Exercise Support Plans.
  • Coordinate technical integration requirements with the Mission Training Complex Network Engineer, submitting Port, Protocol, and Service Management requirements matrices, firewall exception requests, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Provide network support for MEDCoE student and distributed training events, maintaining helpdesk ticket logs and uptime reports.
  • Manage mission command information systems and update them as required, maintaining configuration management logs, software baseline documents, version-control trackers, and patch reports for Army baseline compliance.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues with mission command information systems and related software, producing root-cause analysis reports and knowledge-base articles.
  • Provide expertise in simulation stimulation for mission command information systems using Army Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming training aids, devices, simulators, and simulations.

  • Have military service in a Signal, Communications, or Cyber unit and/or related functional areas.
