- Track and trend regulatory and accreditation findings to identify patient safety and system issues.
- Manage and develop the hospital's triennial survey preparation plan, including mock surveys, documentation review, and education.
- Monitor changes in regulatory and accreditation standards and communicate them to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Serve as the point of contact during announced and unannounced regulatory and accreditation surveys and coordinate logistics and support, including surveyor escorts and document gathering.
- Maintain required regulatory and accreditation documentation.
- Lead post-survey follow-up, including plan of correction development, evidence of compliance submission, and reporting.
- Facilitate corrective action planning with department leaders and ensure actions are measurable, meaningful, and sustainable.
- Serve as the hospital's subject matter expert on regulatory and accreditation standards and provide interpretation, guidance, and education.
- Develop and deliver educational resources, training sessions, and communication tools for current and new-hire staff.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders and teams to align regulatory and accreditation requirements with hospital goals and priorities.
- Integrate regulatory and accreditation requirements into Quality, Patient Safety, Performance Improvement, and Risk initiatives.
- Prepare for and facilitate the Accreditation Readiness Committee, including agenda and minutes.
- Provide leadership updates regarding accreditation readiness status, risks, and post-survey results.
- Maintain oversight of the policy management system and ensure policies meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Prepare for and facilitate the Policy Advisory Committee, including agenda and minutes.
- Oversee the Accreditation Specialist.
- Complete payroll, time, and attendance activities.
- Implement corrective actions as needed.
- Complete and administer performance evaluations.
- Track employee position requirements and ensure employee files are complete.
- Conduct and evaluate candidate interviews when recruiting for a new position.
- Oversee and administer orientations and competencies as needed.
- Coach and mentor staff.
- A master's degree is preferred.
- A background in healthcare compliance, quality, patient safety, or performance improvement is preferred.
- A clinical background is preferred.

Together, GBMC Health Partners and Gilchrist expand access to care across Maryland. Their work includes primary care, geriatric medicine, hospice, palliative care, and community-based support. GBMC has served the community for more than 60 years. It is Maryland's only independent community health system. GBMC was founded in 1965. It was created through the merger of Presbyterian Eye, Ear and Throat Charity Hospital and the Hospital for Women of Maryland. In 2019, GBMC Health Partners expanded its Baltimore City presence. The organization opened its Jonestown Primary Care office at the original Presbyterian Eye, Ear and Throat Charity Hospital site. Gilchrist is the serious illness and hospice care organization within the GBMC HealthCare system. It was established in 1994 and opened Gilchrist Center Baltimore in 2021. Archer Lobby. * Intermountain Health St. Vincent Regional Hospital received a $5M gift from The Fortin Family Foundation. The leadership gift, announced June 23, will expand access to advanced pediatric services for children and families across Montana, Wyoming, and the western Dakotas as part of the Campaign for St. Vincent Regional Hospital. * GBMC HealthCare received an anonymous $6M gift toward the expansion and renovation of its Pediatric Emergency and Inpatient Departments in Baltimore County.
