Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as applications engineering, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or field engineering, ideally in industrial automation, robotics, material handling, or warehouse and logistics technology.
  • Demonstrated sales acumen, including driving early-stage discovery and qualification conversations, reading buying signals, and advancing deals.
  • Ability to translate physical and operational constraints into technical proposals that both the customer and the delivery team can execute against.
  • Ability to own both pre-sale technical validation and post-sale accountability.
  • Working knowledge of operations across the industries served by the company.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with credibility among operations-floor stakeholders and executive buyers.
Responsibilities
  • Join Account Executives in discovery and qualification calls from the earliest stages of an opportunity, helping shape deal strategy and technical positioning.
  • Translate customer site conditions, including dock layout, trailer mix, throughput volume, and staffing model, into validated SlipBot and SlipLift configurations and return-on-investment models.
  • Review and validate Statements of Work and deployment scopes before contract execution to prevent unsupported commitments.
  • Conduct on-site or virtual technical feasibility assessments before proposal finalization.
  • Serve as the technical bridge between Sales, Account Management, and Product and Engineering during and after deployment.
  • Support Account Management with technical input on renewal and expansion conversations, using deployment performance data to flag risk or upsell opportunities early.
  • Document configuration standards and sizing logic in reusable playbooks for the revenue organization.

Slip Robotics provides the SlipBot automated loading system as a Robots-as-a-Service for loading docks. The SlipBot can load or unload a full truck trailer in about five minutes by staging freight at the dock and moving it as a single unit, with no facility changes or IT setup required. The system includes SlipController for control, SlipView for live/historical data, and attachments like SlipBot+Rack and SlipBot+Bin to handle non-uniform items, all delivered via annual subscription that covers hardware, software, and data access. The company aims to reduce dock loading time and truck dwell, increase throughput, improve safety by removing forklift entry into trailers, and scale deployments across the logistics ecosystem with data-driven insights for customers.

What believers are saying

  • Slip Robotics won 2026 SupplyTech Breakthrough Robotics Innovation of the Year.
  • Initial SlipLift deployments were underway by February 2026, broadening its addressable market.
  • The 2024 $28 million Series B from DCVC funds hiring, deployments, and R&D.

What critics are saying

  • Dexterity expanded FedEx trailer-loading deployments on July 31, 2026, intensifying competitive pressure.
  • Boston Dynamics Stretch and Pickle Robot target adjacent unloading workflows with stronger brand recognition.
  • If SlipLift misses broad adoption beyond early deployments, the company stays niche and capital-intensive.

What makes Slip Robotics unique

  • SlipLift, launched February 3, 2026, extends loading to regional and last-mile routes.
  • SlipBots work with zero facility, trailer, Wi-Fi, or IT modifications.
  • Four Hands deployed 15 SlipBots, proving fast payback and 4x dock throughput.

Slip Robotics launches SlipLift to automate loading of 20,000-pound freight across more routes

Atlanta-based Slip Robotics has launched SlipLift, a new platform extending autonomous trailer loading and unloading beyond short-haul routes to heavier freight, regional distribution and last-mile delivery. The system supports payloads up to 20,000 pounds and requires no facility, trailer or IT infrastructure modifications. SlipLift decouples robots from payloads, allowing fewer robots to service more docks whilst maintaining the speed and safety of Slip's existing SlipBot platform. The system uses customisable SlipCarriers that stack when empty to save space. Operators control the process via handheld devices whilst remaining outside trailers. The platform enables pre-staging of freight for last-mile operations and faster morning load-outs. Initial deployments are underway, with broader availability planned throughout the year. Slip Robotics' existing clients include John Deere, GE Appliances and Nissan.
