Requirements
  • Hold a current and valid Georgia Respiratory Care Professional license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with an Associate’s degree.
  • Hold Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Have at least two years of current experience after residency or new-graduate orientation in the clinical areas where the employee will work.
  • Hold Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation credentials from the American Heart Association. Neonatal Resuscitation is required only when rotating to the neonatal intensive care unit or attending deliveries.
  • Have at least one year of experience with non-invasive pressure devices for CPAP Department assignments.
Responsibilities
  • Perform respiratory care for patients in adult care, neonatal care, and/or outpatient continuous positive airway pressure centers.
  • Perform electrocardiography, electroencephalography, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, and other testing within the scope of practice defined by national standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Have at least one year of travel experience with an external or internal agency program, excluding float pools.
