About the job

Requirements
  • Demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals gained through coursework, internships, or projects; prior production-shipping experience is not required.
  • Be curious and willing to investigate failures by digging through unfamiliar codebases or customer systems to identify root causes.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity, such as that encountered in a hackathon, research project, or internship without a defined specification.
  • Communicate clearly and directly with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be willing to travel occasionally for onsite customer work.
  • Be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate there.
Responsibilities
  • Embed with customers and work with Revenue Operations and Sales leaders to turn pricing and approval problems into shipped features, remaining accountable until the problems are solved.
  • Own delivery end-to-end, from technical discovery and scoping through implementation, go-live, and production operation.
  • Feed customer-specific integrations and workflows back into the core platform so recurring patterns become product features.
  • Deploy and tune proactive AI agents for quoting recommendations, deal modeling, and multi-step approval workflows using real customer data, then iterate based on observed failures.
  • Bring product issues revealed by enterprise customer use back to the core team promptly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Have completed an internship and shipped code used by real users.
  • Have independently built an app, tool, or research project outside of class requirements.
  • Have experience close to customers or end users, including support, tutoring, or operations, and translating their problems into solutions.
  • Have learned a new language, framework, or domain quickly to meet a project’s needs.
  • Have a side project and be able to explain what it is and why it was built.

About the company

RoadRunner is an AI-native revenue infrastructure platform that replaces legacy CPQ systems to streamline quote-to-cash for enterprise sales. It offers PQA—Prompt, Quote, Approve—a conversational, AI-powered stack that generates quotes via prompts, suggests deal structures from historical data, enforces pricing policies, and automates complex approval routing, including consumption-based pricing and multi-product bundles. The product uses a modular data model to speed up loading times and simplify configuration, and RoadRunner handles client migrations with its own engineers to model catalogs and rebuild rules. The goal is to create a digital deal desk that increases efficiency, accuracy, and speed across the entire sales cycle from initial prompt to renewal management, targeting large enterprise customers.
