Credit cards have completely missed out on the last decade of FinTech innovation. For the longest time, credit card chips have been too resource constrained to run anything other than applets designed by Visa and MasterCard. Radical Semiconductor is redesigning the credit card chip to turn today’s antiquated smartcards, used at nearly every checkout in the world, into a customizable software platform we call the Radical Card.

Responsibilities

• As a product engineer, you will work directly with Radical’s CEO to brainstorm, conceptualize, plan, design, and develop demo applications.
• You will interface with customers to collect feedback, respond to bugs, and formulate new product ideas that use our cryptographic suite.

Requirements

• To comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State without sponsorship.
• Must be able to start in January 2023 in Pasadena office
• BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Full-stack mobile engineering experience.
• Strong design skills and experience.

Desirable

• Experience with Blockchain infrastructure, and knowledge of Blockchain trends.
• Experience interfacing with customers and users.
• Experience building development environments for external developers.
• Knowledge of NFC protocols and implementations.
• Experience with Java and Java Card.
