About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Three years of experience in a support function or customer service is required.
- Medicare Certification (AHIP) to sell Senior Markets Products is required at hire or must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained annually.
- Certification to sell Qualified Health Plans is required at hire or must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained annually.
- An active Tennessee Life and Health license is required at hire or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to meet business needs.
- Must be willing to work weekends and/or take 24-hour call.
- Provide first-contact resolution for member service inquiries at consumer centers, including explaining benefits, researching and explaining claims, assisting with plan selection, helping members use tools and resources, processing premium payments, and connecting members with community resources.
- Educate consumers about Marketplace products by conducting informational meetings and supporting one-on-one enrollment through healthcare.gov as needed.
- Sell health, life, dental, vision, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance plans.
- Develop, implement, and execute targeted engagement campaigns with community leaders, business owners, retirement communities, nursing homes, and minority groups to drive consumer center traffic and community engagement.
- Travel across the state as required for the mobile center position; the mobile Insurance Advisor position is 100% market based.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
