About the Job

Requirements

  • Have at least 3 years of experience building consumer-facing applications, with substantial experience in React and React Native and sufficient backend experience to build features end-to-end.
  • Be fluent in TypeScript across the stack.
  • Have a strong understanding of consumer user experience across web and mobile, and a track record of building fast, reusable interfaces at scale.
  • Have product and design judgment to work from rough direction, make decisions not covered by a specification, and identify issues to escalate.

Responsibilities

  • Build features that are intuitive for users and maintainable by other engineers.
  • Balance business priorities, user experience, and a durable technical foundation.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues across the user interface and backend.
  • Improve quality and delivery speed as web and mobile products grow.
  • Own features end-to-end, from shaping interactions and building interfaces to writing APIs and data models, shipping, measuring, and iterating.
  • Work across web and mobile to maintain cohesive user experiences.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Next.js, React Native/Expo, Node, GraphQL, and Postgres; the posting values adaptability with new tools over experience with this exact stack.
  • Strong ownership instincts, including seeing work through to completion and taking on unassigned tasks.
  • Ability to communicate and listen effectively and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Motivation to work on consumer products that shape behavior.
