About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Have a strategic orientation, strong curiosity for understanding what customers and users think and how to shift perceptions, and use that understanding to influence business and marketing direction.
  • Be fluent in SQL and Python or R, and move comfortably between exploratory analysis and rigorous statistical modeling.
  • Have designed or analyzed experiments such as A/B tests, holdouts, and lift tests to establish causal effects, and applied regression, segmentation, or other causal-inference methods to a real business question.
  • Have run campaign-level measurement end to end, from pre/post analysis on a single campaign to synthesizing learnings across multiple campaigns into a change acted on next time.
  • Have built and maintained a recurring metrics report or dashboard that executives or cross-functional partners rely on, and kept it trustworthy over time.
  • Turn a hedged, caveated finding into a clear recommendation a non-technical stakeholder can act on, and identify which caveat matters enough to keep in the headline.
  • Start analysis by identifying the business question and decision it needs to serve.
  • Reconcile data with no universal taxonomy across first-party, third-party, real-time, and survey sources.
  • Know when a directionally correct answer now is preferable to a more rigorous answer that arrives too late to matter.
  • Work across functions, building credibility with technical partners and non-technical leadership.
  • Be excited about Anthropic's mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial.
  • Have a field of study relevant to the role, demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
  • Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job-level requirements for the position.
Responsibilities
  • Own recurring executive and all-hands readouts presenting key metrics, headwinds, and tailwinds to marketing management and the broader team.
  • Own the process for Prosumer and B2B brand-health tracker studies, including managing the research vendors that conduct them.
  • Coordinate across Communications, Marketing, and data science on the brand-health dashboard, aligning the groups on a consistent view of the data.
  • Support media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, and incrementality analyses that inform marketing budget and effort allocation, moving beyond correlation to establish what drives outcomes.
  • Run pre- and post-campaign analyses covering creative, channel, audience, and timing effects, and turn each analysis into a specific change for the next campaign.
  • Roll campaign-level learnings into recurring leadership reporting on channel, creative, and audience performance over time, and recommend adjustments to the playbook.
  • Build audience and funnel analyses that quantify how audiences move and relate from awareness through consideration to conversion, and what that means for investment.
  • Audit how customer sentiment is reported across the business and design a more efficient, consistent process.
  • Manage underlying data pipelines so recurring readouts remain reliable and do not need to be rebuilt from scratch each cycle.
  • Partner with Marketing Insights teammates to keep measurement processes and research design in sync, including contributing to the Marketing Business Review scorecard process.
  • Develop a defensible view combining first-party behavioral data, campaign and media data, and survey or attitudinal research, clarifying what each source can and cannot establish on its own.
  • Present findings to non-technical audiences, including marketing leadership, enterprise sales, and finance partners, translating qualified results into clear recommendations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, or incrementality and lift testing specifically, rather than general-purpose analytics.
  • Experience advising marketing stakeholders on experimental design for live campaigns such as email and paid social, or measuring marketing performance across multiple markets.
  • Familiarity with survey-based quantitative research such as MaxDiff, conjoint, brand tracking, and sentiment tracking alongside behavioral and usage data.
  • Experience with a modern data warehouse such as Snowflake or BigQuery and a business intelligence tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Prior experience specifically in marketing, growth, or brand analytics, rather than general data science or product analytics.
  • A graduate degree in statistics, economics, or another quantitative field.
  • A career trajectory spanning business intelligence and dashboarding, applied causal inference and experimental design, and multi-market marketing measurement.

About the company

Anthropic builds the Claude family of AI models and sells them to businesses, software developers, and consumers, with research on making AI safe and understandable at the center of its work. In 2024 it introduced the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to outside apps and data that OpenAI and Google adopted the next year. People use the Claude app to write and analyze files, programmers hand coding tasks to Claude Code, and companies build Claude into their own products through its API. Anthropic earns money from subscriptions, business plans, and usage-based API fees. Siblings Dario and Daniela Amodei founded Anthropic in 2021 with other former OpenAI employees, and it is based in San Francisco.

What believers are saying

  • Sales are multiplying: Anthropic's yearly revenue pace topped $65 billion in July 2026, over sevenfold since December 2025.
  • IPO plans advanced: October 2026 reports describe investor meetings and a mid-November listing target; staff shares face lockups.
  • Lower office minimum: 627 of 646 Anthropic job posts in October 2026 require at least 25% office time.

What critics are saying

  • Job security rides on growth: Anthropic's IPO prospectus lists $518 billion in cloud and computing bills due in coming years.
  • Defense work stays off-limits: in September 2026, appeals judges voted 2-1 to let the Pentagon keep blacklisting Anthropic.
  • Growth is priced in: Anthropic's valuation reached $965 billion in May 2026, up from $380 billion in February.

What makes Anthropic unique

  • Investors don't control its board alone: Anthropic's independent Long-Term Benefit Trust elects a growing number of directors.
  • It isn't tied to one chipmaker: Claude runs on Nvidia GPUs plus custom AI chips designed by Google and Amazon.
  • It holds back its riskiest model: Claude Mythos 5.1, launched September 2026, goes only to vetted cyberdefenders and life scientists.

Musk pledges SpaceX shares to every US child, a day after Anthropic's 5% fund

Elon Musk said on X on Monday that next year he would give every child in America one SpaceX share. He called the donations "the first of many." The post drew over 33 million views in a day. President Donald Trump thanked Musk for his "incredible generosity." No plan has emerged. Musk did not explain the pledge on SpaceX's Tuesday earnings call, where the company reported a 161% rise in revenue from a year earlier. He hinted the shares could go through the new "Trump Accounts" program, which CNBC said may limit when recipients can sell. The pledge came one day after rival Anthropic announced a "Public Benefit Fund" and plans to donate 5% of its shares to it. Musk suggested Anthropic give shares "directly to the public," then said four hours later, "This is what I will be doing.

Anthropic's S-1 reveals $750B cloud spend and capacity struggles with AWS, Google and Microsoft

Anthropic is struggling to secure enough cloud capacity from AWS, Google, and Microsoft, which increasingly see it as a competitor rather than a customer. That is according to an S-1 filing leaked to The Wall Street Journal. The filing says Anthropic believes it could spend more than $750 billion on cloud contracts, some still in negotiation. It is also leasing its own data centres and using third-party operators, but worries their "limited operating history" could make them less reliable than the big cloud providers. Anthropic posted an $80.7 billion net loss in the first half of the year on $16.3 billion in revenue. Two customers account for about a fifth of sales. The company told investors third-quarter revenue reached $16.8 billion, up 45% from the previous quarter. It is reportedly targeting a November IPO.

Anthropic's $80.7B first-half net loss shouldn't deter IPO investors, strategist says

Anthropic has disclosed about $80.7 billion in net losses for the first half of 2026 in a draft filing for an initial public offering (IPO), according to reports from the Wall Street Journal and Reuters. B. Riley Wealth chief market strategist Art Hogan says the losses are no surprise. Revenue growth has slowed a little, he said, while spending on infrastructure has not. Hogan expects Anthropic to stress its strong revenue growth and to aim to list before Thanksgiving. He said OpenAI is likely to follow next year, and that SpaceX will be watching the same pool of investors. Investors will watch whether revenue growth keeps outpacing computing costs.

Anthropic S1 reportedly shows $80.7B first-half loss and up to $750B in planned computing spend

Anthropic PBC lost $80.7 billion in the first half of this year and could spend $750 billion on additional computing power in the coming years, the Wall Street Journal reported. The newspaper said it obtained a copy of the company's S1 filing as Anthropic prepares to go public.

isolved Connector for Claude now covers full employee lifecycle, from pay checks to missed punches

isolved, a Workforce Capital Management company, has expanded its isolved Connector for Claude to cover the full employee lifecycle. Employees can now update contact information, get notifications, submit a missed punch, and manage timecard adjustments inside Claude. The connector launched in June. It lets employees check pay history, paystubs, time-off balances, and enrolled benefits without logging into a separate portal. Before any change is submitted, it shows what will change and asks for confirmation. Pay and benefits records are view-only. The company's 2026 HR Leaders Report found that 48% of HR leaders spend one to three hours a day answering repetitive employee questions, and 47% spend four hours or more. Next, isolved plans to add manager workflows, HR and administrator tools, and agentic experiences.
