  • Orthopedic experience is preferred.
  • A Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required.
  • New Jersey Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure and board certification are required.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Availability for full-time day-shift work is required.
Responsibilities
  • First assist in the operating room for primary and revision total joint replacement procedures and other orthopaedic surgeries as appropriate.
  • Conduct preoperative and postoperative patient evaluations.
  • Perform inpatient rounding and manage postoperative care in collaboration with the attending surgeon.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and transitions of care.
  • Provide patient education regarding surgical preparation, recovery expectations, rehabilitation, and postoperative precautions.
  • Evaluate and manage routine postoperative concerns within scope of practice.
  • Assist in optimizing clinic flow and improving patient access through independent visits.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, physical therapy, case management, and ancillary services to provide coordinated care.
