Cargomatic operates a logistics technology platform that connects shippers with local truckers in real time. It matches freight loads with available trucking capacity, focusing on drayage and nearby, short‑haul moves to enable on‑demand trucking services. The system works by signaling available loads to nearby carriers through the platform (and vice versa), letting shippers post freight and drivers accept jobs, all aiming to move shipments quickly and efficiently. Compared with competitors, Cargomatic emphasizes real‑time, local trucking connections and has grown through multiple funding rounds to scale its platform, supported by investors such as Warburg Pincus and Canaan Partners. Its goal is to make freight transportation more connected and efficient by expanding access to on‑demand local trucking solutions.
