GPT opens 51 Flinders Ln as Firmus and JCDecaux join East End's new-economy precinct.

GPT opens 51 Flinders Ln as Firmus and JCDecaux join East End's new-economy precinct. 03/09/2026 September 3, 2026 - The GPT Group (GPT) today officially opened 51 Flinders Ln, its $555 million office development in Melbourne's East End, announcing AI infrastructure company Firmus Technologies (Firmus) and global out-of-home media company JCDecaux as the latest businesses to commit to the precinct. Firmus will occupy a whole floor on Level 14, establishing its first Melbourne office at 51 Flinders Ln. JCDecaux is relocating its Melbourne team from St Kilda Road to a whole floor on Level 9, committing to a 10-year lease - reinforcing the continued consolidation of technology, media and professional services occupiers into premium CBD precincts. Both join hyperscale data centre specialist AirTrunk, also establishing its first Melbourne office at the precinct, alongside WPP, FM and Koda Capital. The resulting tenant mix - spanning AI, cloud and digital infrastructure, out-of-home media, professional services and financial services - reflects the precinct's emergence as a destination for businesses at the forefront of Melbourne's new economy. Matthew Brown, Head of Office at The GPT Group, said the calibre of occupiers choosing the precinct reflects the strength of GPT's office platform and the East End's continued evolution as a commercial destination. "From AI and digital infrastructure businesses through to global media and professional services firms, the companies choosing 51 Flinders Ln are helping shape Melbourne's next phase of economic growth," said Brown. "We continue to see strong demand from businesses seeking highly connected, amenity-rich workplaces in premium CBD locations, particularly from sectors where connectivity, collaboration and access to talent are critical to long-term growth." Nicole Reid, Chief People Officer at Firmus, said, "Melbourne is an important market for Firmus as we continue to expand our AI infrastructure across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Establishing a presence at 51 Flinders Ln provides our team with a highly connected base in the centre of Melbourne, supporting collaboration, access to talent and closer engagement with customers and partners." 51 Flinders Ln comprises a 14-level North Tower and 39-level South Tower, delivering approximately 27,500 sqm of A-Grade office space alongside 1,000 sqm of hospitality amenity connected by a new pedestrian laneway linking Flinders Street and Flinders Lane. The development has achieved WiredScore Platinum certification, recognising 51 Flinders Ln as a best-in-class digitally connected workplace with technology infrastructure suited to the operational requirements of AI, cloud, media and digital infrastructure businesses. The precinct's ground-floor hospitality offering will progressively open from late 2026, anchored by acclaimed Chef Alejandro Saravia's flagship venue, Masia, alongside a curated mix of day-to-evening operators. The opening comes amid strong leasing momentum across GPT's national office portfolio, with more than 78,500 sqm1 secured in the first half of 2026, including 19,800 sqm across Melbourne. Demand also continues at GPT's neighbouring workplace, 8 Exhibition St, where wealth manager Insignia Financial recently committed to a 10-year lease across 8,400 sqm2. Connected to 51 Flinders Ln via the new laneway, the two workplaces will form an integrated East End commercial precinct. The official opening of 51 Flinders Ln was marked today alongside the Lord Mayor of Melbourne Nicholas Reece, with project partners, tenant customers and industry stakeholders in attendance. * Includes Heads of Agreement, 100% sqm basis. * Heads of Agreement executed in 2025 and reflected in GPT's 2025 Annual Result Release ID: 89202328 If you detect any issues, problems, or errors in this press release content, kindly contact [email protected] to notify Ohsem.me (it is important to note that this email is the authorized channel for such matters, sending multiple emails to multiple addresses does not necessarily help expedite your request). JCDecaux NZ Launches 50th SMARTFRAME Site.

JCDecaux NZ Launches 50th SMARTFRAME Site. Published on: 12th August 2026 at 9:18 AM JCDecaux New Zealand has launched its 50th SMARTFRAME strengthening the network's national footprint and giving advertisers even greater premium visibility across high-value suburban and urban environments. Phil Eastwood, executive general manager, JCDecaux New Zealand, highlighted significance of the milestone because of what it unlocks for brands. ADVERTISING "Hitting 50 SMARTFRAME sites isn't about the number. It's about the capability it gives advertisers," Eastwood said. "SMARTFRAME provides a premium digital, national network in the neighbourhoods and commuter corridors where everyday decisions are made. Brands can plan it with confidence, knowing it delivers consistent impact across metro and regional New Zealand." The 50th site on Pakuranga Highway joins a rapidly expanding network that began in Auckland's inner-urban suburbs and now spans Wellington, Christchurch and key regional centres including Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Upper Hutt, Hamilton, Tauranga and Hastings. Four additional frames will go live this quarter in West Auckland, Queen Street, Whangārei and Dunedin, continuing the network's growth into high-value audience zones. SMARTFRAME was introduced in 2019 to bring Large Format quality into suburban environments. Positioned close to the roadside and at natural dwell points, its portrait screens are seven times the size of standard suburban formats, giving advertisers a premium product showcase and strong visibility in areas where people are already primed to act. Victoria Parsons, strategy & insights director at JCDecaux New Zealand, said SMARTFRAME's impact is backed by independent neuroscience. "Recent research, conducted in partnership with Neuro-Insight*, shows that SMARTFRAME consistently creates strong attention and emotional response," Parsons said. "Its scale, proximity and elevated presentation trigger high levels of visual processing and emotional intensity, making it a powerful moment for brands, especially in environments where people are making everyday choices about what to buy, where to go and what to do." Five of our graduates featured in the latest BIG SEE selection.

Five of its graduates featured in the latest BIG SEE selection. Date: 2026.07.16 A fresh take on a forgotten lamp, a sauna on the banks of the Danube, and sustainable fashion collections - five creative practitioners affiliated with MOME, including last year's graduates, have been selected for the 2026 BIG SEE Perspectives Award. Dorottya Bató, Valentin Szarvas and Nóra Szilágyi were nominated in the product design category, and Julianna Skrabák and the girls can scan collective in architecture. Their work forges links between current challenges in industrial design, the social issues explored through fashion, urban communities, and architectural heritage. On 21 May, the participants of the Perspectives 2026 introduced their projects to an international professional audience at the BIG SEE Festival in Portorož. A regional platform for emerging talent. Based in Ljubljana, BIG SEE is an architecture and design platform connecting professional communities across Central and South-Eastern Europe. Since 2018, its awards have highlighted achievements in architecture, interior design, and product design across dedicated categories. The platform also organises festivals, conferences, exhibitions, and industry events. First launched in 2025, the Perspectives Award returns for its second edition in 2026. It spans two disciplines - architecture and product design, with the latter also encompassing fashion and textile design. This year's selection features practitioners from Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Albania, and Türkiye, among others. Candidates are selected through a professional nomination process. Architects, designers, educators, researchers, editors, and curators invited by BIG SEE put forward emerging practitioners whose work already shows a distinctive and characteristic approach to design. MOME faculty members Dóri Tomcsányi and Péter Molnár are among the Hungarian experts invited to nominate. In the product design category, Dorottya Bató and Valentin Szarvas were nominated by Dóri Tomcsányi, and Nóra Szilágyi by Péter Molnár. The Hungarian nominators also include László Bence Dobos, a graduate of the MOME Doctoral School. Fashion, material culture, and personal narratives. Nóra Szilágyi graduated from the MOME Design MA programme in 2025 with the Rector's Special Award. Her independent projects are developed in collaboration with manufacturers, local communities, and craftspeople. Her Reflecta lighting collection draws on the surviving equipment and manufacturing expertise of the former Szarvasi lamp factory, carrying its industrial legacy into contemporary design. The project was also shown in Budapest as part of a citylight exhibition produced jointly by MOME and JCDecaux. Another standout project of hers is At Least, a home workout bench that also functions as storage furniture, as well as EVE, a community-based emergency alert system that notifies nearby residents in the event of danger. Both received a Red Dot Design Concept Award. Dorottya Bató, who graduated from the MOME Fashion and Textile Design MA programme in 2025, has three collections featured in the selection. RE/COVER reimagines the embroidered motifs of a family heirloom tablecloth through sculptural forms, contemporary pattern-cutting techniques, and 3D-printed fastenings. Don't Believe Everything You See uses zero-waste pattern cutting to examine transparency in the fashion industry. Dorottya's diploma collection, DNAI, explores hyper-personalisation, investigating how online platforms, user data and artificial intelligence shape consumer behaviour, the way Mome dress, and the choices designers make. 2023 MOME Fashion Design MA graduate Valentin Szarvas uses his eponymous label to examine the relationship between clothing and the wearer. In Became Silence, garments are conceived as intimate spaces of protection. Bújj-bújj, zöld ág reflects on concealment, visibility, and shifting identities, while Folding Back to Myself approaches sustainability through the dismantling, reconstruction, and survival of garments. Architecture - communities, heritage, and the city's hidden layers. Julianna Skrabák's 2024 MOME architecture diploma project, Place in Between - Alluvial Spaces and Strata Communities along the Danube, reconnects overlooked, underused stretches of Budapest's riverfront with local micro-communities. Between Nehru Park and the Danube, the project creates a network of galleries, saunas and spaces set into the embankment wall, all following changes in the river's water levels. At the heart of the project is the sauna, conceived as a ritual space that offers a break to step away from the rush of city life and slow down. Her projects featured on the BIG SEE platform also include Novella Quarter, developed with Marcell Korhán. Created for a competition in Debrecen, it casts the architect as a coordinator who works with local cultural communities to establish how the space will be used. In the experimental project DUNA.POSTA, hand-crafted pieces of driftwood carry messages between strangers, turning the river into a natural means of communication for a spontaneous community. Skrabák's nominator underlined her thoughtfulness, perseverance, and ability to frame architectural questions in social and ethical terms. The girls can scan collective comprises Júlia Bakucz, Kata Ramocsai, Lilla Kammermann, Lilla Luca Varga, and Eszter Hegedűs, who graduated from the MOME Design Theory MA programme in 2019. Founded in 2020, the collective develops research-led projects that bring together Central and Eastern European architectural heritage, feminist perspectives, and overlooked histories of the built environment. Tripping on Modernist Monuments explores regional approaches to preserving modernist architectural heritage. The collective sought out local initiatives in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chișinău and Bucharest, whose methods could also be applied in other post-socialist cities. Women's Day Statue Unveiling highlighted the role of women in engineering and architectural education. At the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, a beeswax candle shaped like a woman's head was unveiled in tribute to the institution's past and present female students. The performative action continued in 2025, prompting discussion about more inclusive forms of institutional memory. The Perspectives Award's English-language platform places the work of the five MOME-affiliated nominees in a regional context, while its nomination system supports emerging practitioners through recommendations from experienced professionals. For MOME students and alumni, the selection offers another opportunity to gain exposure in an international professional setting and to bring their work to a wider audience.
