Requirements
  • Current license as a Registered Pharmacist in good standing by the State of California.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire; current pharmacists have until July 31, 2027, to obtain it.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year of hire; current pharmacists have until July 31, 2027, to obtain it.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
  • Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests.
  • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Knowledge of CII Safe/PYXIS operations.
  • Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical judgment, professional knowledge, and distribution skills in the Pharmacy Department to ensure patients receive pharmaceutical care consistent with department and hospital missions.
  • Identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems.
  • Perform activities within established policies, procedures, techniques, and applicable federal and state standards and regulations.
  • Support and contribute to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Pharmacy Department.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of hospital experience in an inpatient, decentralized setting.
  • Computer experience with pharmacy programs and Windows.
  • Demonstrated application of drug knowledge and clinical judgment.
