What believers are saying

  • September 2026 promotions at MEX Exchange strengthen institutional sales, operations, and technology execution.
  • Ronald Rahme joined in 2026 as global marketing chief after ATFX and NCM Financial Services.
  • Botim funding rails and Bitpanda listing expand retail access for mb.io and $MBG.

What critics are saying

  • MBG still trades near $0.10, far below its $2.75 all-time high.
  • A scheduled 2026 token unlock adds supply pressure while liquidity stays thin.
  • A VARA, ASIC, or BaFin enforcement action would freeze expansion across brokerage and crypto.

What makes Multibank Group unique

  • MultiBank holds 18-plus licenses across five continents, including ASIC, BaFin, CySEC, and CMA.
  • It reported 2024 revenue of $361.8 million and EBITDA of $284.9 million.
  • Its mb.io exchange and $MBG token fuse CFDs, crypto, and RWA tokenization.

The two recognitions. | Detail | Description | | Forbes Middle East Top 100 CEOs 2026 | Ranked 65th; Forbes lists Taher's role as Founder & Executive Chairman, MultiBank Group, industry classification Investment Banking, nationality Jordanian | | Golden Excellence Award | FinTech, Digital Asset and Blockchain Excellence category, 9th Golden Excellence Awards 2026, presented by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan | Forbes' own profile of Taher cites MultiBank's average daily trading volumes exceeding $35 billion, a record single-day trading volume of $55.8 billion in April 2025, and the launch of the $MBG utility token to major global exchanges in July 2025 among the achievements behind his ranking. Before establishing MultiBank Group in Los Angeles in 2005, Taher held roles at BNP Paribas, Barclays, UBS, Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse across a career now spanning 36 years. MultiBank's move into digital assets. Alongside its core foreign exchange and derivatives business, MultiBank operates mb.io, a cryptocurrency exchange regulated by Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), covering spot trading and real-world asset tokenisation. mb.io recently integrated Botim, the UAE messaging and payments app, to let UAE users fund mb.io trading accounts directly through Botim's payment rails, part of a broader push to reduce the friction between fiat and crypto trading for retail users in the country.
