Cambridge GaN Devices designs energy-efficient GaN power semiconductors in a fabless model. Its ICeGaN family uses enhancement-mode GaN transistors that run with standard gate drivers and integrate logic and protection on-chip for a single-chip solution with lower losses than silicon (up to about 50%). The technology emphasizes easy integration (no special circuitry or negative voltages) and includes on-chip protection, with a development path from consumer electronics to EV powertrains. Its goal is to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions by enabling more efficient power conversion across electronics, data centers, industrial systems, and mobility.
