Archax taps Chainlink data for tokenized USTs as "programmable collateral"

Archax taps Chainlink data for tokenized USTs as "programmable collateral" October 19, 2026 Archax, the UK's first Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)-regulated digital asset platform, has adopted Chainlink, an industry-standard oracle platform, to enable onchain lending, collateral, and treasury-management applications for banks, asset managers, and DeFi users. Through Chainlink Data Streams, Archax expands the distribution of $GOVY, a tokenized perpetual US Treasury (UST) product designed to align with high-quality liquid assets (HQLA) principles, across Ethereum, Hedera, Stellar, and more. $GOVY removes the operational friction associated with managing maturing short-term T-Bills, giving eligible investors direct, legally enforceable exposure to short-dated US Treasury Bills held 1:1 in regulated custody. As each T-Bill matures, it is automatically replaced with an equivalent short-dated security, providing continuous Treasury exposure without the need to manage maturities or reinvestment manually. Making a regulated asset available onchain is only the first step. For $GOVY to be used in automated lending, trading, or collateral management applications, institutions also need reliable data to value the asset and manage risk. Through this integration, Chainlink Data Streams turns $GOVY into programmable, productive collateral by enabling institutions to: * Put Treasury holdings to work as collateral: $GOVY can support secured lending and credit markets rather than remaining a passive asset. * Improve capital efficiency: Reliable valuations enable applications to calculate borrowing capacity and loan-to-value ratios more accurately. * Automate collateral management: Institutions can build workflows that monitor positions, rebalance collateral, or respond to predefined risk thresholds. * Support margin and trading applications: Current pricing informs margin requirements and collateral eligibility across approved onchain markets. * Modernize treasury operations: $GOVY can be integrated into automated cash, liquidity, and yield-management strategies operating beyond conventional market hours. "By connecting Chainlink's market-leading data infrastructure and Archax's 1:1 custody model, $GOVY bypasses the friction of traditional Treasury products, enabling it to be adopted seamlessly across onchain protocols as verifiable, yield-bearing collateral," said Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs, in a statement. "Institutions need more than a digital representation of an asset. They need regulated custody, clear legal rights, and dependable market data. Chainlink Data Streams provides the industry-standard pricing infrastructure needed to integrate $GOVY into sophisticated lending, collateral, and treasury management applications, turning it into a programmable asset that both banks and DeFi protocols can integrate at scale," said Nick Donovan, chief revenue officer at Archax, in a statement.

Chainlink partners with Pacific Meta to expand tokenization in Japan.

Chainlink partners with Pacific Meta to expand tokenization in Japan. Chainlink has partnered with Japan-based Pacific Meta to expand institutional tokenization, cross-chain interoperability, and compliance infrastructure in Japan. Announced on October 16, 2026, the agreement makes Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) Pacific Meta's preferred interoperability solution and adds Chainlink's Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) to its marketplace. The partnership targets financial institutions and enterprises seeking to deploy blockchain-based financial products within Japan's regulatory environment. Chainlink targets Japan's institutional tokenization market. Pacific Meta said the partnership will focus on market development, institutional business development, and onchain identity and compliance infrastructure. The company has supported more than 300 group projects across over 41 countries, giving Chainlink a local business development partner to help introduce its technology to Japanese enterprises. The collaboration aims to support tokenized assets, digital identity, and automated compliance solutions. Pacific Meta has worked with companies across telecommunications, consumer electronics, and digital advertising, although the announcement does not identify specific financial institutions committed to deploying the new infrastructure. The agreement establishes a framework for adoption rather than confirming a completed institutional tokenization launch. CCIP addresses security risks in cross-chain finance. Pacific Meta selected CCIP after evaluating decentralization, security safeguards, operational resilience, and issuer control. Its announcement cited more than $3 billion in losses from cross-chain exploits, highlighting the security risks associated with transferring digital assets and information between blockchain networks. According to Pacific Meta, CCIP uses a network of 16 independent node operators to verify each lane by default and supports configurable rate limits. These controls are intended to help reduce risks associated with cross-chain transactions while preserving issuers' governance and emergency-response options. However, such safeguards do not eliminate all smart-contract, operational, or cybersecurity risks. Chainlink ACE adds compliance tools for Japanese institutions. Alongside CCIP, Pacific Meta has listed Chainlink's Automated Compliance Engine on its marketplace. ACE is designed to support compliance requirements in institutional tokenized-asset deployments, complementing the interoperability infrastructure used to move assets and information across blockchain networks. The combined offering addresses two challenges for financial institutions: connecting blockchain networks and applying compliance policies to onchain activity. Pacific Meta and Chainlink Labs plan to pursue additional institutional deployments, but the announcement does not disclose specific clients, transaction volumes, or financial terms. Adoption will depend on implementation, institutional demand, and compatibility with applicable Japanese regulations. LINK price reflects a market still assessing adoption. Chainlink's broader institutional expansion provides context for the partnership. In its Q2 2026 ecosystem review, LINK reported that more than $7 billion in cross-chain token value migrated to CCIP during the quarter. CCIP transfer volume reached $4.90 billion, up 353% year over year, indicating growing use of the infrastructure beyond individual partnership announcements. Market data on October 16 placed LINK near $12.32, with a market capitalization of roughly $9.2 billion and daily trading volume around $230 million. The partnership strengthens LINK's push into institutional finance, but its longer-term significance will depend on actual deployments, usage, and transaction activity. Further announcements identifying participating institutions or live tokenized products would provide clearer evidence of adoption in Japan. Chainlink launches Stellar Data Feeds for $4B RWA ecosystem.

Chainlink launches Stellar Data Feeds for $4B RWA ecosystem. Integration targets DeFi lending, stablecoins and tokenized assets. Reading Time: 3 mins read Chainlink has deployed its oracle infrastructure on the Stellar blockchain, bringing Data Feeds and Data Streams to a network supporting more than $4 billion in real-world assets (RWAs). The integration aims to help developers build decentralized finance (DeFi) applications using reliable market data for lending, stablecoins, tokenized equities, and other blockchain-based financial products. The integration gives Stellar developers access to Chainlink's market data infrastructure, enabling them to build financial applications that connect tokenized real-world assets with decentralized markets. The deployment follows Stellar's participation in the Chainlink Scale program, through which the Stellar ecosystem is committing resources to provide developers with cost-efficient access to institutional-grade oracle services. These services supply external data to blockchain applications, allowing smart contracts to respond to market prices and other information that cannot be independently obtained from the blockchain itself. Stellar already hosts a growing range of tokenized assets, but expanding their practical use requires infrastructure that supports pricing, trading, lending, and collateral management. The Chainlink integration is intended to address that requirement by helping developers build applications that use on-chain assets in more complex financial transactions. Oracle services support new financial applications. Chainlink Data Feeds provide decentralized market data that smart contracts can use to determine asset prices and execute financial operations. Data Streams are designed to deliver market information with low latency, supporting applications that require more frequent updates. Together, the services can support the development of lending markets, prediction markets, perpetual futures, and other DeFi products on Stellar. Reliable price information is particularly important for applications that calculate collateral values, determine loan-to-value ratios or initiate liquidations when positions no longer meet required thresholds. Stablecoin applications can also use reference data to support pricing and related financial functions. Tokenized equities and other digital representations of traditional assets may benefit from the same infrastructure when used in trading and collateral-based applications. Stellar is designed for payments and financial services, with smart contract capabilities, relatively low transaction fees, and an emphasis on scalability. Integrating oracle services expands the infrastructure available to developers seeking to combine these features with more sophisticated financial applications. Chainlink Scale program expands developer access. The deployment fulfills the stated objective of the Chainlink Scale program by extending access to oracle infrastructure across the Stellar ecosystem. The program is intended to reduce the cost of using Chainlink services for participating blockchain networks, helping developers build applications without bearing the full infrastructure costs independently. According to the project announcement, ecosystem applications are adopting Chainlink data services at launch to support functions such as collateral processing, loan-to-value calculations, automated liquidations, and stablecoin reference rates. The integration is designed to make Stellar's tokenized assets more useful by allowing them to participate in lending, trading and collateral-based financial markets rather than remaining limited to issuance and ownership records. For developers, access to established oracle infrastructure can reduce the complexity of building data-dependent smart contracts. For users, the resulting applications could create additional ways to trade digital assets, borrow against holdings and deploy capital across blockchain-based financial services. However, broader adoption will depend on the availability of applications, market liquidity, data reliability and demand for the financial products built on the network. Stellar and Chainlink target institutional adoption. Chainlink Labs Chief Business Officer Johann Eid said the integration could support a new generation of DeFi and tokenized asset applications on Stellar. He indicated that native access to Data Feeds and Data Streams would give developers the market data needed to build lending markets, stablecoin services and tokenized financial products for wider adoption. Raja Chakravorti, chief business officer at the Stellar Development Foundation, emphasized that tokenization alone was insufficient to establish financial markets at institutional scale. He explained that such markets also require reliable infrastructure for asset pricing, transaction execution, and the movement of value, with oracle services helping provide the necessary data and connectivity. The partnership reflects a broader shift in blockchain development toward making tokenized assets usable across financial applications. Issuing an asset on a blockchain establishes its digital representation, but connecting it to pricing systems, lending protocols, and trading venues can expand its economic utility. Chainlink has also been developing cross-chain infrastructure. Its recently announced CCIP Vault Adapters are designed to let decentralized finance vaults accept deposits from more than 80 supported blockchains through a simplified process. That initiative addresses interoperability, while the Stellar deployment focuses on market data and oracle access. Together, these developments illustrate the importance of data and connectivity infrastructure as blockchain networks seek to support more complex financial products and attract institutional participation.
