Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of progressive supply chain management experience covering planning, procurement, and logistics within multi-divisional international services organizations, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Demonstrated experience driving Lean transformations and implementing end-to-end process improvements.
  • Deep understanding of Sales and Operations Planning, inventory optimization, data analytics, and end-to-end supply chain dependencies; strong financial acumen regarding capital efficiency and working capital; demonstrated capability in crisis management, risk mitigation, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • High proficiency leading Tier-1 ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and foundational data analytics or business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Skywise.
  • Experience with advanced supply chain planning systems such as Kinaxis RapidResponse, SAP IBP, or O9 Solutions.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
  • Meet the listed physical requirements, including vision, hearing, speaking, office equipment operation, carrying and lifting up to 10 pounds, occasional pushing or pulling and squatting or kneeling, daily sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional independent short-notice travel.
  • Wear steel-toed shoes for shop-floor visits; appropriate hearing and eye protection may also be required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing organization of managers and expert individual contributors across Lean, Data Analytics, Planning, and Resilience.
  • Drive team engagement and foster continuous learning, psychological safety, accountability, and high performance.
  • Design organizational structures, define capability roadmaps, and execute succession plans to support long-term talent retention within the end-to-end Supply Chain function.
  • Provide final review and approval of salary increases, promotions, and bonuses for Supply Chain Efficiency team members.
  • Establish performance goals and KPIs for direct reports and conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and career pathing.
  • Lead end-to-end Supply Chain data analytics, forward-focus performance management, and governance by directing and developing Data Analytics and Performance Management experts.
  • Integrate digital tools and business intelligence tools to ensure business performance targets are met and actions are followed appropriately.
  • Define and execute cost- and cash-related competitiveness projects that contribute to Airbus Helicopters, Inc. and Airbus financial objectives for profitability and cash flow.
  • Define cost-saving measurement processes and establish tools for financial quantification.
  • Direct Supply Chain Sales and Operations Planning, managing inputs and outputs that include inventory health, supplier capacity, logistics capacity, and workforce planning.
  • Lead the regional Supply Chain Operating Plan cross-functionally and coordinate quarterly financial forecast updates to align with corporate profitability goals.
  • Direct the Forecast, Planning, and Inventory Health team to unify demand signals, resolve supply constraints, and drive inventory optimization.
  • Ensure product availability while maximizing capital efficiency and minimizing excess inventory risk.
  • Review and approve forecasting, stocking policy, planning, and inventory processes.
  • Direct and develop Lean experts who collaborate with functions to apply Lean principles, eliminate silos, and optimize integrated processes across Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and Material Fulfillment.
  • Drive Supply Chain competitiveness through cross-functional continuous improvement across the end-to-end Supply Chain.
  • Review processes and make training recommendations for approval within the end-to-end Supply Chain scope.
  • Manage key Director-, Vice President-, and executive-level stakeholders across the region and at headquarters, especially within Support & Services, Operations, and Finance, to ensure strategic alignment on Supply Chain activities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional development and oversee execution of the strategic Supply Chain roadmap through embedded project management deployment.
  • Direct change initiatives that drive continuous improvement and Supply Chain capability maturity, ensuring executives understand and support the Supply Chain vision.
  • Oversee the Resilience Manager responsible for risk and opportunity management, business continuity planning, compliance, insurance claims, and crisis management to maintain a resilient supply chain network.
  • Work with function heads to define and organize risk and opportunity action plans.
  • Prepare the quarterly Supply Chain risk and opportunity report and present findings directly to executives.
  • Support enterprise-wide executive initiatives, cross-functional ad hoc projects, and ongoing professional development of the broader Supply Chain organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master’s degree or MBA focused on Supply Chain, Operations, or Data Analytics.
  • Previous experience at Director level.
  • A proven track record leading digital supply chain transformations, Lean process improvements, and complex business continuity events.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain digital twins, artificial intelligence and machine-learning forecasting models, and complex corporate insurance and compliance frameworks.

Airbus A350F freighter completes maiden flight with 4.3m cargo door for servers

Airbus has successfully completed the first flight of its A350F freighter, bringing the aerospace giant closer to delivering a high-capacity cargo aircraft. The plane took off from Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, flying for four hours and ten minutes and reaching 25,000 feet. The A350F can carry a payload of 109 tonnes, compared to 64 tonnes for the existing A330F. It features a 4.3-metre cargo door large enough to accommodate turbofan engines and high-density computer servers. Airbus claims the A350F is more efficient than Boeing's rival 777F, despite having slightly less capacity. The company has already received orders for 115 A350Fs. A second test aircraft is nearly complete as Airbus begins the certification process requiring hundreds of test flights.

Airbus and Qantas back $30M funding for Australian SAF developer Jet Zero

Jet Zero Australia has raised $30 million to advance Project Ulysses, a commercial-scale sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel refinery in Townsville. The funding round was backed by institutional investors including Qantas and Airbus, both returning investors from 2023. South Korean company Posco International joined as a new strategic investor, with the parties exploring opportunities in fuel offtake, infrastructure and feedstock. The capital will fund completion of Front-End Engineering Design and support the project's progress towards Final Investment Decision and construction. Founded in 2021 by Ed Mason, Jet Zero develops biofuels production capacity in regional Australia. The project has received its final Development Permit Decision Notice from Queensland's Office of the Coordinator-General. It is expected to create approximately 1,000 construction jobs and 100 permanent operational roles.

Airbus shelves stricter office return plan after Spanish union strikes

Airbus has postponed its plan to reduce remote working after strikes by Spanish unions, Reuters reports. The aerospace manufacturer will allow employees to continue working from home an average of two days per week, shelving indefinitely a push to limit remote work to one day. Chief Executive Guillaume Faury had sought to require white-collar staff on-site four days weekly by September, citing the need for knowledge transfer. Spanish unions said roughly 40% of Airbus's 14,000 Spanish employees have walked out over remote work policies, transport, leave and wages. An Airbus spokesperson said the company would implement the transition "more gradually" based on employee feedback. French unions estimate a quarter to a third of Airbus's workforce has been hired in the past three years. Aircraft production has not been affected by the disruptions.
