Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in early childhood education, education, public administration, social services, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience interpreting and applying regulatory standards and managing monitoring or corrective-action processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project-management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify systemic risks, interpret data, document findings, and translate requirements into practical operational practices.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships while maintaining appropriate accountability.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, databases, reporting systems, and other data-management tools.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate ongoing monitoring activities, including monitoring schedules, tools, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Conduct center visits, program reviews, and record reviews to assess compliance and identify areas of risk or opportunity.
  • Ensure required licenses, permits, certifications, and compliance documentation remain current and audit-ready.
  • Coordinate follow-up related to licensing visits, monitoring reviews, audits, and other regulatory assessments.
  • Monitor accidents and incidents and ensure required reporting, documentation, and follow-up are completed.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with state licensing specialists and other regulatory partners.
  • Partner with Operations and center leadership to monitor health and safety practices and compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Coordinate monthly health and safety monitoring and ensure concerns are documented, communicated, escalated, and resolved.
  • Identify immediate and recurring operational risks and coordinate timely corrective action.
  • Track corrective actions through completion and verify that solutions effectively address identified concerns.
  • Partner with the People Team to coordinate CPR and First Aid training as needed.
  • Analyze monitoring findings and program data to identify trends and emerging risks across attendance, enrollment, licensing, documentation, health, and safety.
  • Partner with Center Directors and service-area leaders to develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Prepare reports outlining findings, risks, required actions, responsible parties, and timelines.
  • Escalate significant or unresolved compliance concerns to appropriate leaders.
  • Support SASCIE and other continuous quality-improvement activities by helping leaders translate findings into actionable improvement plans.
  • Verify that corrective actions are effective and sustainable, not simply completed.
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and guidance to leaders and staff on compliance expectations and required practices.
  • Communicate monitoring findings, trends, risks, and corrective-action progress to the Delegate Vice President and other organizational leaders.
  • Help leaders translate regulatory requirements into practical expectations for their teams and centers.
  • Support readiness for federal reviews, state licensing visits, audits, and other monitoring activities.
  • Supervise assigned personnel and provide coaching, training, performance support, and oversight of their work.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in Head Start, early childhood education, program monitoring, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, or childcare licensing.
  • Experience working with licensing agencies or preparing for regulatory reviews.
  • Supervisory or project leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards and state childcare licensing requirements.
