About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A proven track record of high-quality standards is required.
- At least 2 years of experience working on a production floor is required.
- Good math skills are required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Perform daily lot/pour verifications on all operators by following set work instructions.
- Perform line clearance audits with operators at the end of orders, utilizing line clearance checklists and procedures.
- Audit and test operators against work instructions for the tasks they are performing, with the goal of identifying gaps in processes and work instructions.
- Conduct process audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Know and apply all applicable work instructions and processes for the assigned department.
- Train operators to follow work orders, batch sheets, and work instructions when needed.
- Drive lean manufacturing principles and process improvement.
- Provide ongoing feedback to operators and team members on correct process functions and tasks.
- Partner with the quality team on investigations and tasks to help identify and prevent product escapes.
- Complete delegated assignments by established due dates.
- Work within the boundaries of ISO procedures.
- Communicate gaps and failures to the supervisor of the assigned department.
- Work with the team to take corrective action on customer complaints and concerns.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a quality support role is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in the chemical industry is preferred.
