Outpost VFX opens German outpost.

Outpost VFX opens German outpost. Outpost VFX (Mayday, The Uprising, Avatar: The Last Airbender) has launched operations in Germany. Creative, technology and production teams have already joined the business and are working on live projects in the region. Emmy and VES award winning VFX Supervisor Sven Martin (House of the Dragon, 3 Body Problem, Bridge of Spies, The Mandalorian and Shazam! Fury of the Gods) will join in November as Executive Creative Director, in a role designed to "keep him at the heart of client service and creative direction across Outpost VFX's global slate of projects." Germany becomes Outpost VFX's fourth international territory. Alongside established operations in the UK, Canada and India, the expansion broadens Outpost's access to creative talent, technical expertise and production opportunities across Europe while enabling projects to benefit from Germany's regional and federal incentive programmes. Martin said: "Technology moves fast, but great storytelling remains at the heart of everything we do. Outpost is brilliantly set up to navigate the future of visual effects, and I couldn't be more excited to join the team as we help fellow filmmakers bring their boldest visions to life." The German operation has been established around a senior team of artists, technologists and production specialists, providing Outpost VFX with significant expertise in animation, creature work and creative direction. This includes many of the key animators and character artists that delivered the most recognisable creature and character effects across all three seasons of House of the Dragon. Chief Operating Officer, Gez Hixson, said: "Germany represents an important milestone in Outpost's continued growth and gives Televisual access to an exceptional pool of creative and technical talent. Televisual has been deliberate about finding the right opportunity to expand into Europe, and Televisual is incredibly excited about the team Televisual has assembled. "Bringing Sven into the business is a major part of that. His creative pedigree, leadership and trusting relationships with a wide network of clients make him an outstanding fit for Outpost as we continue to evolve internationally." Martin's credits include House of the Dragon, 3 Body Problem, Bridge of Spies, The Mandalorian and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. A multiple VES Award winner, Martin also received Primetime Emmy awards in both 2012 and 2013 for his work on Game of Thrones.
