Rockstar nearly doubles staff to 4,711 for GTA 6, with analysts eyeing $3B in sales

Rockstar Games nearly doubled its staff to 4,711 across 12 studios while building Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), up from 2,441 when Red Dead Redemption 2 launched in 2018. The game, delayed twice, now launches on November 19 after more than eight years of work. Bloomberg reports analysts expect about 40 million sales and $3 billion in revenue within four months of launch. Even so, parent Take-Two Interactive closed Friday at $205.28, down 21.86% over 12 months. Take-Two guides to $8 billion to $8.2 billion in fiscal 2027 net bookings. Net bookings fell 3% to $1.39 billion in the June quarter. StoneX analyst Mike Hickey keeps a Buy rating and a $300 price target. Rockstar says it cut excessive overtime, though not entirely, and believes the work could shorten development of its next major release.

GTA 6 looms: Take-Two is the top video game stock pick as Nintendo and Roblox slump

Grand Theft Auto VI, due on November 19, is set to be the video game industry's biggest growth driver in the next few years. Global games revenue reached about $202 billion in 2025, up 9%, and Newzoo forecasts $214 billion in 2026. Take-Two Interactive, which makes the game, expects net bookings to rise about 20% to roughly $8.1 billion this fiscal year. Its stock trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 30, and the article's author favours it as the best way to profit from the launch. Sony is the game's main console partner, but gaming makes up under half of its profit. Nintendo, down 37% over the past year, faces competition for players' spending, as the game is not planned for Switch. Roblox, down 63%, expects third-quarter bookings to fall 14% to 18%.

Take-Two shares fall 21% as GTA VI preorder hype raises pull-forward risk

Take-Two Interactive Software shares have fallen 21% over the past twelve months, while the S&P 500 returned 21%. The company still expects net bookings to grow about 20% in fiscal 2027, helped by the November 19 release of Grand Theft Auto VI. On an August 7 earnings call, executives called preorders for the game unprecedented. They said they do not know how many will become sales, since buyers can cancel, and conceded that early demand may only pull forward sales from after launch. Recurring player spending is expected to stay flat and make up 64% of net bookings, so growth must come from new releases. Rockstar Games, maker of the title, is expected to bring in about 37% of fiscal 2027 net bookings. Net revenue rose just 2% in fiscal Q1 2027. The stock trades at 5.6 times sales, against 3.1 for the S&P 500.

GTA 6 leaks strike again: CyberLeak's new clip shows Lucia skydiving from a rooftop - wearing nothing at all.

GTA 6 leaks strike again: CyberLeak's new clip shows Lucia skydiving from a rooftop - wearing nothing at all. Just when Rockstar Games thought it had the leak situation under control, the mysterious GTA 6 leaker known as CyberLeak has returned with yet another batch of footage. This time, the clip making the rounds online shows Lucia - one half of GTA 6's Bonnie-and-Clyde-style protagonist duo - taking a dramatic parachute jump off a rooftop, and she's doing it entirely unclothed. CyberLeak is back with more alleged development footage. The leaker first made headlines earlier this year after dumping dozens of short clips online, all claimed to be pulled from internal GTA 6 development builds. Now CyberLeak has resurfaced, and the new video is proving impossible to ignore - largely thanks to its eyebrow-raising content. In the footage, Lucia is seen standing on a rooftop before leaping off and deploying a parachute, all while rendered without any clothing. The scene plays out against what appears to be an unfinished version of Vice City, complete with placeholder assets and debug-style visuals that strongly suggest this is a test build rather than anything close to final gameplay. Why is Lucia naked in the footage? Before imaginations run wild, it's worth putting this in context. Unfinished character models appearing without outfits is actually a common sight in game development pipelines. Studios frequently test animation rigs, physics, and skeletal movements using base character meshes before final clothing and textures are layered on. Parachute and free-fall animations in particular require extensive physics testing, which may explain why this specific sequence was captured in such a raw state. That said, GTA games have never shied away from mature content, and GTA 6 will almost certainly carry an Adults Only rating in some regions, as has been reported. Still, this leak looks far more like a behind-the-scenes development artifact than a deliberate in-game moment. Take-Two isn't happy. Unsurprisingly, Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive has been aggressively issuing DMCA takedowns against the leaked clips. The videos keep getting scrubbed from social platforms almost as quickly as they appear, though reuploads continue to pop up across forums and file-sharing sites. This cat-and-mouse game is nothing new for Take-Two, which has spent years battling GTA 6 leaks - most notably the massive 2022 hack that exposed over an hour of early development footage. The company has historically been one of the most aggressive publishers in the industry when it comes to protecting unannounced or unfinished content. The bigger picture: GTA 6's long wait continues. The timing of these leaks stings for fans, as GTA 6 was recently pushed back to a May 26, 2026 release date. It's the second delay for one of the most anticipated games in history, and the leak frenzy only highlights how desperate the community is for official news. There is a genuine argument, though, that leaks like this do more harm than good. Rough debug footage stripped of lighting passes, final assets, and polish can create misleading first impressions of a game that is still deep in development. Rockstar's carefully crafted trailers - which have shattered viewing records - represent the game as the studio intends it to be seen. Need a GTA fix while you wait? If the wait until May 2026 feels unbearable, there's still plenty of Los Santos to explore. You can grab GTA 5 and GTA Online game codes, Shark Cash Cards, and Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox gift cards at TURGAME.com at competitive prices - perfect for jumping back into GTA Online or stocking up on whatever comes next. As for the leaks? Expect Take-Two to keep swinging the ban hammer. But if history has taught Turgame anything, it's that GTA 6 leaks always find a way back to the surface.

GTA 6 leaker threatens to release full story if memecoin hits $30M, demands Take-Two apology.

GTA 6 leaker threatens to release full story if memecoin hits $30M, demands Take-Two apology. Cyberleek's $30M GTA 6 ultimatum mixes a demand for physical discs with cryptocurrency promotion, as questions persist over whether the alleged full-story build exists. Published 11 October 2026, 7:28 AM BST Cyberleek says it will leak what it claims is a complete build of Grand Theft Auto VI if an associated cryptocurrency reaches a $30 million (£22,656,045) market capitalisation, but there is still no public proof it holds the finished game. The account, which surfaced with alleged GTA 6 footage in August, has now tied a full story leak to the value of a memecoin and a demand for physical game discs and a public apology from Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive. For now, the evidence consists of development footage and online statements rather than any verified full campaign. New clips appeared this week, yet neither the videos nor the ultimatum establish that Cyberleek can play or distribute the entire storyline from start to end. Leaker links alleged full story to $30M token target. In a statement reported by PC Gamer and circulated in a Reddit screenshot, Cyberleek promises 'full story mode, played to the end, credits and all' once the CYBERLEEK token reaches the stated valuation. The message offers to provide requested scenes as proof, but does not publicly demonstrate a complete campaign. Footage from a playable development version may demonstrate access to game material, but not that every mission exists or that the files could be distributed in playable form. Cyberleek's other condition targets the publisher. The message calls for 'physical disks and a public apology,' suggesting that Take-Two could prevent the purported release by meeting those demands. There is no verified evidence of a direct communication or response between the parties. There is a real dispute behind the physical-media demand. Rockstar's official support information says boxed GTA 6 editions will contain digital download codes rather than game discs. The company says the boxes are expected to become available on 12 November, allowing buyers to pre-load the game before launch. The cryptocurrency condition, however, is separate from that consumer complaint. Market capitalisation represents a token's price multiplied by its circulating supply, not money deposited with its promoter. A $30 million valuation would therefore not establish that Cyberleek had raised, earned or withdrawn that sum. New footage deepens mystery over alleged 'full build' On 8 October, Video Games Chronicle reported that it had viewed approximately 25 minutes of footage attributed to Cyberleek. The publication said the video appeared authentic and described scenes involving protagonists Jason and Lucia, a dirt-bike race and unusual character nudity. Some scenes also appeared to show in-game alterations. Video Games Chronicle noted that it could not determine whether all the material reflected features intended for the finished release. Rockstar has not publicly authenticated the individual sequences. That assessment suggests whoever created the clips may have accessed a development version. It is not independent confirmation of the far more extensive claim now being made about an entire story mode. Other messages attributed to Cyberleek have linked prospective Lucia footage to smaller cryptocurrency thresholds, including $2 million (£1,510,403.00) for bikini footage and $4 million (£3,020,806.00) for nudity, according to secondary reporting. The promised footage remains unverified. In the linked Reddit discussion, reactions ranged from scepticism about the alleged full build to support for physical discs. One commenter wrote: 'What a dork.' Another wrote: 'I stand with him. Give me physicals.' Legal push continues ahead of planned November launch. Rockstar acknowledged the earlier leaks on 26 August, calling their appearance 'heartbreaking for our team' and warning that spoilers could affect the experience intended for players. Take-Two also pursued legal requests for information from online platforms. According to TorrentFreak's reporting on federal filings, these included copyright-related subpoena proceedings involving Discord and other services. The publisher subsequently withdrew a request concerning YouTube while pursuing further Discord information. Such proceedings can help identify suspected sources of leaked material, but are not findings that any particular person committed an offence. The identity of the person or people behind Cyberleek remains unverified. Rockstar continues to list 19 November 2026 for the release of Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The promised complete build, meanwhile, remains unverified. Writer's Pick
