Cohesity names Datacom APJ MSP Partner of the Year.

Cohesity names Datacom APJ MSP Partner of the Year. Wed, 21st Oct 2026 (Today) Cohesity has named Datacom its APJ MSP Partner of the Year as part of its FY2026 Partner Awards. Datacom received the Asia Pacific and Japan managed service provider award as Cohesity recognised partners across its regional and global channel network. The awards highlight businesses working with customers on cyber resilience, data protection and recovery from disruption. The recognition covers Datacom's work across Australia and New Zealand, where it provides managed services alongside Cohesity's data security technology. The award reflects the partnership between the two companies and their joint work with customers in the region. In the broader APJ awards, EDGE SHIELDS was named APJ Partner of the Year, Amigo Technologies Joint Stock Company won APJ Growth Partner of the Year, ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation was recognised as APJ Net-New Logo Partner of the Year, and ETEVERS was named APJ Distribution Partner of the Year. Cohesity also announced a separate set of global awards covering security, artificial intelligence, cloud, distribution and systems integration. Winners included Semperis, Anthropic, HPE, AWS, TD SYNNEX, DXC, Accenture, Wipro and Fenix24. It also selected regional managed service provider winners outside APJ, with Micrologic recognised in the Americas, Vivicta in EMEA and Axtel in LATAM. Matthew Johnston, Senior Director - Partner Sales, Asia Pacific and Japan, Cohesity, said the regional winners had moved early to build services around cyber resilience. "This year's winners across the region were among the first to recognise that cyber resilience would become a strategic priority for their customers, and they invested early to build that expertise," Johnston said. "That early commitment has helped them grow alongside Cohesity, deepening their capabilities in AI and data security while forging closer relationships with customers across a region that's rapidly maturing its approach to cyber resilience. Congratulations to our winners on their continued leadership and impact." Partner Program Alongside the awards, Cohesity updated its Aspire Global Partner Program. The changes include broader earning opportunities, a new Professional Services specialisation, simplified training requirements, and greater visibility over training, certifications and billing through its partner portal. Channel partner programs have become a key part of competition among cybersecurity and data protection vendors, particularly as customers look for managed services and external support to deal with ransomware, backup integrity and recovery planning. For providers such as Datacom, awards like this can support market positioning in enterprise and public sector accounts across Australia and New Zealand. Sam Ereckson, Director - Operations ANZ, Datacom, said: "This recognition reflects the strength of Datacom's partnership with Cohesity and our shared commitment to helping organisations across Australia and New Zealand strengthen cyber resilience, protect critical data and recover quickly from disruption. By combining Cohesity's technology with Datacom's managed services expertise, we're helping customers build resilience, reduce risk and stay focused on what matters most to their business."

Varonis and Cohesity: improving cyber resilience with data security.

Varonis and Cohesity: improving cyber resilience with data security. Varonis and Cohesity close the backup dataset security gap in one integration. Last updated September 30, 2026 Backup datasets often contain sensitive information - from PII to intellectual property - and a wide range of business-critical data. Without visibility into their backups, security teams are left with a blind spot that increases the blast radius and impedes cyber recovery. Together, Varonis and Cohesity close that gap, pairing deep insight into backup data with stronger security and faster recovery. Varonis integrates with Cohesity to combine proactive data security with cyber resilience, surfacing what's inside backup data, automating remediation, detecting threats, and enabling secure recovery. How Varonis and Cohesity reduce risk and strengthen resilience Varonis and Cohesity address the gap between data security and cyber resilience, from discovery through recovery. Each layer builds on the last: Discover and classify sensitive data Varonis automatically discovers and classifies sensitive and regulated data across Cohesity Data Cloud, helping organizations identify risk, reduce data exposure, strengthen cyber resilience, and accelerate recovery efforts. Continuous visibility into sensitive data supports compliance, retention requirements, and AI readiness. Lock down access and shrink the blast radius Overexposed data is a breach waiting to happen. Varonis maps your entire permissions structure, providing visibility into where data resides, who has access to it, and who's using it. From there, you can enforce least privilege: managing access at a granular level and safely automating permission changes, while shrinking the blast radius with minimal effort. Detect and stop threats in real time Varonis builds baseline behavioral profiles for users and non-human identities, then continuously monitors for the activity that signals an attack, including suspicious data access, lateral movement, and privilege escalation. When something looks wrong, Varonis can alert your team and leverage automated responses to prevent data from being affected, like shutting down user sessions and changing passwords, with no wait for manual triage. And for organizations that want 24x7 coverage, Varonis Managed Data Detection and Response (MDDR) provides expert-led monitoring, investigation, and response to help stop threats before they impact critical data. Contain ransomware and recover fast If ransomware reaches your data, the two platforms work together to contain and recover. Varonis flags the abnormal file activity that signals encryption and triggers an automated response to lock it down. Cohesity hardens the data itself with AES-256 encryption, multifactor authentication, DataLock for WORM and FIPS-compliant encryption. And because Cohesity keeps unlimited, fully hydrated snapshots, you can mass-restore files, VMs and application objects almost instantly, cutting recovery time from days to minutes. Optimize cost Varonis Data Lifecyle Management continuously identifies redundant, obsolete, and trivial (ROT) data, helping organizations safely archive or dispose of data that no longer provides business value. By shrinking the amount of data stored and protected in Cohesity, customers can improve storage efficiency, reduce infrastructure costs, and maintain a cleaner, more manageable data estate while preserving compliance and security requirements. Complete visibility, protection, and recovery Security teams work faster when the picture is unified. By continuously identifying sensitive, stale, and overexposed data, Varonis helps organizations reduce cyber risk before an incident occurs and provides the context needed to prioritize recovery efforts when one does. Cohesity gives you a single UI and enterprise search across silos, VMs, backups, data centers, remote sites, and multiple clouds. Varonis layers on the context that makes that data defensible: classification, automated remediation, threat detection, and ROT reduction. Together, Varonis and Cohesity deliver a unified approach to data security and cyber resilience, helping organizations protect sensitive data throughout its lifecycle. Cohesity introduces Agent Resilience to protect and restore AI agent infrastructure.

Cohesity introduces Agent Resilience to protect and restore AI agent infrastructure. Sep 16, 2026, 03:00 ET Cohesity launches Agent Resilience with support for Amazon Bedrock, with Microsoft and Google platforms planned on the roadmap, and presents its vision for automating cyber resilience in Cohesity Data Cloud PARIS, September 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Cohesity, a leader in AI-powered data security, today announced the launch of Cohesity Agent Resilience. This new Cohesity Data Cloud capability makes it possible to discover, protect, and restore the infrastructure that supports enterprise AI agents. The vendor also presents its vision for Autonomous Cyber Resilience, which uses agentic workflows to automate its five-step cyber resilience framework: protect data, identities, applications, and agents; ensure recoverability in all scenarios; remediate cyber and AI threats; practice application recovery; and optimize posture against data- and AI-related risks. Cohesity Agent Resilience: At launch, Cohesity Agent Resilience protects agent memory and configuration using the same snapshot architecture, immutable backups, and isolated-environment restore capabilities that Cohesity customers already rely on to protect sensitive workloads and data in on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments. It is available now for select customers, with general availability planned for late 2026. Cohesity Agent Resilience includes two main functions: * Agent state protection: protect agent memory and configuration with point-in-time restore capabilities that help teams restore agents to a trusted state after memory corruption, misconfiguration, or malicious activity. * Protection of what agents manage: protect the databases, file systems, and other services that agents interact with, enabling precise restoration of affected resources when needed. "Detection can tell you that an AI agent has gone off track. It cannot undo the changes. Cohesity Agent Resilience provides a precise restore path for both the agents and the resources they impact. Our vision for Autonomous Cyber Resilience is to use agentic workflows to reduce the manual work involved in response and recovery," says Vasu Murthy, Chief Product Officer at Cohesity. With the Autonomous Cyber Resilience model, teams define objectives through Cohesity Copilot rather than manually configuring policies across multiple applications. The approach builds on Cohesity RecoveryAgent, which orchestrates key parts of incident response and recovery and helps security and IT teams work from the same plan. Cohesity Maestro, with extended capabilities expected later in 2026, will connect Cohesity's protection, response, and recovery capabilities to customers' preferred AI tools, including Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini, as well as Cohesity Helios, the company's unified management console.
