  • Experience developing and owning a strategic position that changed business decisions and actions.

  • Exceptional written communication, including persuading senior leaders through prose and pre-reads.
  • Executive presence with external audiences, including large enterprise CIOs and startup founders.
  • Comfort operating without a team by building coalitions, borrowing capacity, and achieving outcomes through people who do not report to the role.
  • Experience integrating AI into work processes, strategic direction, or problem-solving, such as using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, reviewing AI-influenced insights, or examining AI's impact on a function or industry.
  • Strong full-stack understanding of on-premise infrastructure, public cloud, DevOps practices, software creation, deployment and operations, and associated tooling and engineering practices.
Responsibilities
  • Own and defend the multi-year strategic position for Technology Workflows, keeping it current as the AI landscape changes, and produce written arguments and pre-reads used by leadership to make decisions.
  • Set market sizing and category definitions for the business, including assessing the current and future addressable market.
  • Shape pricing and packaging strategy across the portfolio, including shifting consumption-based products toward outcome-based models, in partnership with product managers, pricing, finance, and platform packaging teams.
  • Own inorganic strategy for the business by sourcing and evaluating acquisition, acquihire, and partnership candidates across the Technology Workflows portfolio; form a technical point of view, convene product and engineering diligence, and provide Corporate Development and Technology Workflows leadership with a recommendation and thesis.
  • Build and maintain the partner and ecosystem framework across categories such as observability, endpoint, operational technology, and systems integrator relationships.
  • Represent the business in executive and customer forums, including the CIO Product Advisory Council, annual strategy cycle, and twelve-month product roadmap review; write and present content and carry resulting commitments.
  • Maintain the competitive picture for AI-native technology operations and surface how products and packaging must evolve with market trends.
  • Partner across product leadership for service management, operations, configuration, asset management, and portfolio management, as well as Platform, AI, pricing, marketing, and analyst relations, influencing without authority.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background spanning both the IT estate and the production/DevOps estate.
  • Prior experience at, closely partnering with, or deeply using tools and technologies such as observability, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, agentic platforms, and public cloud.
  • Venture, corporate development, or investment banking exposure alongside a product career.

Over 25% of S&P 500 stocks are down 40%+: four bargain tech picks, from Netflix to Oracle

More than 25% of S&P 500 stocks are down 40% or more from their highs, even with the index near record levels, as of October 8, 2026. The Motley Fool sees that as a chance to hunt for bargains in tech. It names four picks. Netflix trades at about 18.5 times 2027 analyst earnings estimates, and advertising should drive its growth. Oracle has a $664 billion backlog in cloud infrastructure, but carries heavy debt and burns cash. ServiceNow, hit by the 2026 software sell-off, trades at 7.5 times forward sales as it pushes into agentic AI. AppLovin trades at 13 times 2027 earnings estimates. Its revenue rose 53% last quarter to $1.9 billion.

CFOs at Chevron, ServiceNow and Nasdaq say AI must earn capital; ServiceNow targets $500M savings

Chevron, ServiceNow and Nasdaq finance chiefs say AI projects must prove their worth before getting funded. They spoke on a panel at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in Santa Barbara on Tuesday. Chevron's chief financial officer, Eimear Bonner, said AI "has got to compete for capital" and cannot be "a science experiment." She wants a clear path to value and results that reach the bottom line. ServiceNow's Gina Mastantuno said CFOs must also weigh the cost of falling behind rivals. The company expects $500 million in savings this year, largely from using its own products. Nasdaq's Sarah Youngwood sorts investments by time horizon and tracks AI metrics such as coding speed, client retention and token costs.
