About the job
- The candidate must have training in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technical Engineering, Higher Technician in Mechanical Manufacturing Design, Mechanical Project Development, or equivalent training.
- The candidate must have prior experience in a technical office, mechanical design, industrial engineering, machinery manufacturing, or industrial installations.
- The candidate must have advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- The candidate must be able to interpret and prepare mechanical, manufacturing, assembly, and layout drawings.
- The candidate must understand manufacturing processes, machining, welding, metal fabrication, and industrial assembly.
- The candidate must have basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical transmission elements.
- The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
- The candidate must be available to work both in the office and on the plant floor.
- Design and develop components, structures, equipment, and mechanical installations.
- Prepare, modify, and update manufacturing, assembly, and layout drawings.
- Create exploded views, assemblies, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
- Take measurements and produce plant layout drawings.
- Size and select mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
- Prepare technical specifications for requesting quotations and purchasing materials or equipment.
- Coordinate technically with suppliers, external workshops, and installation companies.
- Monitor project fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Provide technical support to Production and Maintenance to resolve incidents and propose improvements.
- Control deadlines, costs, and resources associated with assigned projects.
- Review and control the technical documentation for machinery and installations.
- Participate in testing, validation, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Collaborate on continuous-improvement, safety, and industrial-process-optimization projects.
- Update drawings and as-built documentation after work is completed.
- English sufficient to interpret technical documentation and communicate with suppliers.
- Knowledge of machinery safety regulations and CE marking.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Work organization and planning ability.
- Practical orientation and attention to detail.
