About the Job

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom circuits to improve chip power efficiency.
  • Work with the power team, physical design team, and architects to define specifications and requirements.
  • Perform design, analysis, modeling and simulation, circuit-level specification, schematic capture, SPICE simulation and process-voltage-temperature margin verification, statistical design, functional verification, and silicon bring-up.
  • Work closely with the layout team to complete the design and oversee layout quality.
  • Develop and drive circuit methodologies to achieve the highest design-quality metrics.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in advanced technology nodes.
  • Experience in designing low-voltage and low-power custom circuits.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning accelerators, SRAM circuits, non-volatile memories, weak or moderate inversion circuits, ultra-low-power amplifiers, DC/DC converters, digital on-chip sensors, high-speed clocking, and time-to-digital converters.
  • Deep understanding of deep-submicron device physics, leakage mechanisms, and technology interactions with device behavior.
  • Understanding of device matching, device noise sources including 1/f and thermal noise, extrinsic noise sources including supply noise and jitter, and their impact on high-precision circuits.
  • Ability to conduct experiments during silicon debugging, gather and analyze data, and use scripting to efficiently handle automated test equipment data.
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal verification and behavioral models for mixed-signal blocks.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl and in computer-aided design automation tools.
