Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of residential or hospitality architectural experience in an architecture or hands-on homebuilding or construction organization is required.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with Revit, computer-aided design, SketchUp, and Bluebeam as related to architectural and engineering drawings are required.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Strong design, graphic, and presentation skills are required.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, applicable codes, construction costs, and value engineering techniques is required.
  • Knowledge of all applicable building and municipal codes is required.
  • Ability to independently manage project assignments from initiation through completion is required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting established deadlines is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete work accurately and thoroughly are required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination and management of workflows associated with delivering design and construction deliverables, including drawings and specifications, across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Collaborate with resource teams, project design managers, job captains, engineering and specialty consultants, construction superintendents, production, estimating, purchasing, project management, and construction administration.
  • Assist with clash detection processes to identify and resolve conflicts between architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Review and coordinate consultant drawings, ensuring consistency across disciplines and highlighting discrepancies or design gaps.
  • Serve as the design compliance liaison for the project team during the construction phase.
  • Identify repetitive issues and errors across projects and communicate them to stakeholders to help implement coordinated solutions that minimize rework, delays, and construction cost impacts.
  • Support project design managers and job captains with construction administration, including timely and adequately documented responses to requests for information, field bulletins, and submittals.
  • Participate in milestone field visits with the Construction Quality Assurance and Quality Control team to observe progress, verify compliance with project design specifications, and support quality assurance activities.
  • Coordinate with project design technical teams and contractors or subcontractors on constructability reviews during various project phases.
  • Provide support for AutoCAD and Revit drawing production and other document preparation across multiple projects.
  • Support and guide project design managers on code compliance and constructability issues throughout design phases, including schematic design and design development.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture is preferred.
