About the job

Requirements
  • You've built growth at a meaningful scale in B2B SaaS, having led acquisition, performance marketing, organic growth, or related functions in a globally scaled B2B SaaS company and created material business outcomes.
  • You've created growth without an existing playbook by identifying emerging channels, technologies, or customer behavior shifts, experimenting quickly, and scaling promising signals.
  • You understand search and paid acquisition and how AI search, large language models, agents, and new discovery experiences affect how brands are found, recommended, and chosen.
  • You understand growth economics and how to allocate people and dollars across opportunities, including incrementality, returns, customer acquisition cost, attribution, and pipeline economics.
  • You've led leaders, built high-performing teams, attracted talent, and set a high bar while staying close to the work.
  • You understand both high-volume self-service and sales-assisted growth and can build strategies for different customer segments, ideally in B2B SaaS.
  • You can turn complex problems into clear decisions, communicate with conviction, and influence senior leaders across Product, Sales, Finance, Data, and Marketing.
Responsibilities
  • Set the strategy for creating and capturing demand across paid, organic, AI, and emerging channels; decide where to invest, pull back, and experiment across SMB and upmarket businesses; and identify, test, and scale growth opportunities.
  • Lead HubSpot's strategy across traditional search and emerging AI discovery, protecting and growing organic search while building capabilities, experiments, and playbooks to increase visibility, recommendations, and demand through AI.
  • Transform performance marketing across SMB and upmarket businesses by modernizing measurement and using data and AI to improve targeting, accelerate creative testing and personalization, maximize short- and long-term returns, and scale profitable growth sources.
  • Partner with Product to turn new customer behaviors and unmet needs into acquisition opportunities and, where appropriate, new products or features.
  • Attract, develop, and lead a high-performing growth team; stay close enough to challenge assumptions and accelerate decisions while empowering leaders to own major problems; use AI and automation to increase experimentation, learning, and execution; and build a culture focused on impact.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience turning growth or customer insights into new products, features, or business opportunities.
  • Experience with marketing engineering, automation, or using AI to fundamentally change how marketing work gets done.

HubSpot cuts 660 jobs in AI restructuring, expects up to $75M in charges

HubSpot is cutting approximately 660 jobs, or 7% of its global workforce, as part of a restructuring plan focused on AI-driven customer outcomes. The company's board authorised the plan on 1 October 2026. HubSpot expects to incur charges of $65 million to $75 million, primarily for severance and employee benefits. Most charges will hit in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, with workforce reductions completing by the first quarter of 2027. Chief executive Yamini Rangan said the restructuring aims to create a flatter organisation with fewer management layers, rather than responding to cost pressures. The severance package includes a minimum of 20 weeks of base pay. HubSpot reaffirmed its revenue and operating income guidance for fiscal 2026. The company's stock has declined roughly 45% since the start of the year.

HubSpot loses 5M monthly blog visits, declares inbound marketing dead in AI era

HubSpot, the company that pioneered inbound marketing over a decade ago, has declared the methodology obsolete and introduced a new framework called Loop Marketing. The shift comes after HubSpot's blog lost 5 million visits in 30 days, with the company observing AI search usage climbing 37% whilst traditional search declined 11%. Industry projections suggest that by 2027 or 2028, as many as 95% of buyer journeys will start in large language models like ChatGPT and Gemini, often without visiting company websites. Loop Marketing operates as a four-stage system where each buyer interaction generates data that sharpens targeting and messaging. HubSpot rebuilt its AI chat to personalise every visitor interaction, leading to more than 10,000 sales meetings quarterly by Q4 2025.

CallRail launches real-time HubSpot scheduling and Agent Hub integration at UNBOUND 2026

CallRail has launched two new HubSpot integrations at UNBOUND 2026. Voice Assist Scheduling enables CallRail's AI voice agent to book meetings directly on HubSpot calendars during live calls, checking real-time availability and automating follow-up by writing bookings to contact and deal records. The CallRail MCP, available in HubSpot's Agent Hub, gives HubSpot AI agents access to CallRail call data and conversation insights, providing richer customer context for future interactions. More than 4,500 CallRail accounts are already connected to HubSpot. CallRail CEO Marc Ginsberg said the enhancements address the gap where small businesses lose time between capturing leads and scheduling next steps, eliminating manual handoffs and callback delays. Both features are launching in beta for existing CallRail customers connected to HubSpot. CallRail serves more than 225,000 businesses worldwide.

HubSpot CEO sells 2,622 shares to cover tax obligations, retains $25.4M stake

HubSpot CEO Rangan Yamini disposed of 2,622 shares on 1 September 2026 to cover tax obligations related to restricted stock unit settlements, according to an SEC filing. The shares were valued at $251.11 each. The transaction represented less than 3% of Yamini's holdings. Following the sale, he continues to hold approximately 101,000 shares directly, worth $25.41 million at market close. HubSpot's stock had fallen 48% over the previous year amid concerns about AI impact on SaaS companies. However, the company reported 21% revenue growth in the first half of 2026 and returned to profitability during that period. HubSpot provides a cloud-based customer relationship management platform serving businesses globally across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.

HubSpot and Atlassian outshine PubMatic as software stocks gain 39.6%

Two software stocks are on investors' watchlists whilst one faces headwinds, according to recent analysis. PubMatic, valued at $791 million, is flagged as a sell due to customer churn reflected in its 96% net revenue retention rate and increasingly competitive market conditions requiring higher sales and marketing spend. HubSpot, worth $11.28 billion, shows promise with 20% annual revenue growth over two years and an 83.2% gross margin. The company maintains steady long-term contract flows, trading at 2.8x forward price-to-sales at $224.65 per share. Atlassian, valued at $41.26 billion, also features on the watchlist. The company provides collaboration and knowledge-sharing tools for teams. Investors are advised to exercise caution as AI threatens to commoditise many software products.
