Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician / Automation Specialist
About the job
- Technical training or a diploma in industrial electricity, electrotechnics, automation, electromechanics, or a similar field.
- Initial experience in industrial electrical maintenance and/or automation, ideally in an industrial or production environment.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical installations, automation, programmable logic controllers, sensors, variable frequency drives, and motor control.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and automation plans.
- Analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
- Autonomy, practical judgment, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Teamwork and communication abilities.
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental rules.
- Fluency in French is required.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of performance.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and remedial maintenance on electrical installations, industrial equipment, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and automation-related failures.
- Work on programmable logic controllers, control systems, sensors, actuators, variable frequency drives, and industrial networks.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical plans, and automation diagrams.
- Identify causes of failures and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Carry out electrical measurements and checks needed to diagnose faults and ensure equipment reliability.
- Configure, modify, and optimize automation systems and control parameters.
- Participate in commissioning, modifications, and improvements to industrial equipment and production lines.
- Ensure the proper operation of motors, drives, sensors, safety systems, and other electrical components.
- Collaborate with production and mechanical maintenance teams to reduce stoppages and downtime.
- Participate in planned technical shutdowns and major maintenance work.
- Ensure all interventions comply with safety rules and internal procedures.
- Track maintenance interventions and report recurring technical problems.
- Participate in continuous-improvement projects to improve equipment reliability, safety, and performance.
- Coordinate interventions with external companies and service providers when necessary.
- Knowledge of industrial networks and control systems.
- Knowledge of English and/or German.
