Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An active American Board of Opticianry certification is required.
  • The candidate must be able to produce and display credentials in a conspicuous on-site location.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience in luxury retail or premium service environments is required.
  • Strong knowledge of optical theory, practices, and the latest technologies is required.
  • The candidate must be able to build and maintain a loyal client base.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and retail systems is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The candidate must be able to talk, stand, walk, conduct product demonstrations, and perform repetitive use of the hands, arms, and legs while engaging with customers.
  • The candidate must frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation are required.
  • The candidate must be able to work comfortably with varied lighting conditions, including occasional flashing or contrasting light patterns.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience and exceed customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Cultivate long-term client relationships through personalized service and follow-up.
  • Guide clients in selecting frames and lenses tailored to their lifestyle, prescription, and style preferences.
  • Sell, facilitate the sale of, and dispense prescription and non-prescription eyewear.
  • Troubleshoot and answer customer questions.
  • Adhere to applicable state laws and requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with customers’ optometrists.
  • Perform precise measurements, fittings, and adjustments to ensure eyewear accuracy.
  • Stay informed about optical innovations, fashion trends, and product knowledge to drive engagement and sales.
  • Maintain visual presentation and operational excellence across sales-floor and stock areas.
  • Manage inventory accurately and accountably.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to elevate performance and service standards.
  • Provide expertise in prescription troubleshooting and lens-technology recommendations.
  • Adhere to privacy laws governing prescriptions and personally identifiable customer information.
  • Celebrate wins, lead by example, and inspire others.

Channel Partners acquires Retail Merchandising Services, combining 40 years of in-store expertise with real-time retail intelligence platform

Channel Partners Solutions has acquired Retail Merchandising Services, a national merchandising company headquartered in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The deal combines RMS's 40 years of in-store execution experience with Channel Partners' OpenSy™ field intelligence platform, which provides real-time visit verification and AI-powered photo validation. Founded in 1985, RMS operates across all 50 US states and holds Target Preferred Partner designation, granting backroom certification and direct inventory access. The company will continue serving existing clients whilst integrating Channel Partners' technology stack throughout 2026 and 2027. The combined organisation will deliver retail execution services across merchandising, audits, experiential marketing and warehousing. RMS operates using a W-2 employee model and serves brands across consumer electronics, grocery, health and beauty categories.
