Responsibilities
  • Prospect lending opportunities in the niche markets served by Oak Street Funding, generally handling loan relationships with aggregate exposure between $1 million and $30 million.
  • Develop relationships within the niche markets served by Oak Street Funding.
  • Conduct direct-to-market outbound calls, build a circle of influence to drive referrals, and serve as a thought leader to meet goals and production levels.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to qualify lending opportunities and develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' needs.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to drive relationships and develop lending opportunities.
  • Review personal- and company-level information through the application process and use proprietary software to prepare and present an initial loan structure to the loan committee for input and term-sheet preparation.
  • Perform cash-flow analysis and articulate the applicant's financial strength.
  • Prepare and present term sheets externally, articulating the risk profile and structure outlined in each term sheet.
  • Understand risk-based pricing and negotiate loan terms with prospective clients.
  • Promote and cross-sell other banking products.
  • Work directly with the deal team, including the Director of Underwriting, Chief Counsel, and Account Managers, to facilitate the client experience from borrower onboarding through diligence and funding.
  • Travel for onsite visits with prospects and clients, due-diligence trips, and industry events for business development and relationship management.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five years of previous commercial lending, private banking, or business banking experience, including credit training, credit quality, underwriting fundamentals, and financial analysis experience.
  • A college degree.
