DoorDash is an on-demand food delivery platform that connects customers with local and national restaurants through a three-sided marketplace with customers, restaurants, and Dashers (delivery drivers). Customers browse menus, place orders, and receive meals via the app or website, while restaurants gain access to more customers. The service charges restaurants a commission on each order and applies delivery and service fees to customers, with Dashers earning base pay, tips, and bonuses. The goal is to expand its network and become a scalable, widely used solution for delivering meals efficiently.

Aldi launching home delivery for first time with trial stores - full list. Shoppers will be able to get Aldi groceries and Specialbuys delivered to their door. * Bookmark * 10:54, 24 SEP 2026 Aldi shoppers will be able to get their groceries delivered for the first time thanks to a new partnership. Britain's biggest discounter is partnering with Deliveroo to enable shoppers to order Aldi products via the Deliveroo app. Modelled on Aldi's successful partnerships with DoorDash, Deliveroo's parent company, in the United States and Australia, Deliveroo Riders will pick, pack and deliver orders directly from stores. It will be the only rapid delivery service available from a discount supermarket in the UK. Through the Deliveroo app, customers will be able to order around 2,000 Aldi products, including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, household essentials and Specialbuys. Shoppers can order on-demand or choose a delivery window that suits them, with orders delivered straight to their door. Aldi products on the Deliveroo app will be priced lower than any other supermarket offering rapid delivery. The service is being trialled across eight stores from Tuesday, October 6. A nationwide launch is currently planned for early 2027. Giles Hurley, Chief Executive Officer at Aldi UK, said: "Urban Trendz has always been committed to bringing low prices to as many people as possible, and this partnership with Deliveroo allows Urban Trendz to do exactly that without changing how its stores operate. "The DoorDash model has been incredibly popular with Aldi customers in Australia and the United States, and we know from our previous trial there is clear demand for more affordable groceries on a rapid delivery platform in the UK. By working with Deliveroo, we can give more people access to Aldi quality and value, however they choose to shop with us." Rob Harris, VP Merchant and Chief Revenue Officer at Deliveroo, said: "Urban Trendz is excited to welcome Aldi to the Deliveroo platform through a brand-new service, Shop & Deliver. Customers in several locations across the country will soon be able to enjoy Aldi's great value and selection delivered to their doorstep on demand. Powered by "For riders, Shop & Deliver is entirely optional, offering an additional way to earn outside of busy mealtimes, which often suits those who choose to ride alongside childcare or another form of work." Stores participating in the trial include: * Victoria Road, Ashford, TN23 7HQ * Cherry Tree Avenue, Dover, CT16 2NL * William Frost Way, Norwich, NR5 0JS * Hines Road, Ipswich, IP3 9BG * Avenue One, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 2HU * Zion Place, Margate, CT9 1RP * Friary Place, Strood, ME2 4TP * Glascote Road, Tamworth, B77 2BS To order, customers can download the Deliveroo app or visit deliveroo.co.uk and search for Aldi to browse available products.
Scooter's Coffee stirs up major buzz with Olo Partnership. Thursday 24th September, 2026 Gorilla Dash Integrations What's included? Plug-and-Play Integrations - Connect Gorilla Dash to the platforms your franchise already uses with off-the-shelf connectors. Custom Workflows & Automation - Build tailored data flows to send and receive information across your entire tech stack without manual work. REST API & Zapier Support - Integrate fast with developer-friendly APIs and no-code automations to sync data wherever it's needed. More integrations stories The coffee franchise has migrated its mobile ordering infrastructure to Olo while launching its first marketplace delivery channel across participating locations. * Scooter's Coffee partners with Olo for digital ordering. * Olo supports 900+ Scooter's locations nationwide. * New delivery infrastructure launched in September. Scooter's Coffee has moved its digital ordering system onto Olo, the restaurant commerce platform, completing the migration across all of its more than 900 locations in under 90 days. Olo's Ordering product now runs the backend for Scooter's mobile app, while Olo Rails powers the brand's first marketplace delivery channel across participating stores. The rollout required Olo to build out a fully customizable menu with modifier management, configure point-of-sale routing and onboard every location nationwide, all while keeping Scooter's on the original launch timeline it had set for its marketplace delivery channel. Scooter's chose Olo specifically for its 99.99% uptime and infrastructure built to handle the transaction volume and complexity of a large franchise system. Tyler Marpes, Vice President of Technology at Scooter's Coffee, described real partnership as what happens when no one is watching, in preparation for when they are, and said watching Olo stand up the brand's full menu and every modifier quickly and seamlessly was exactly that in practice. Noah Glass, Founder and CEO of Olo, said Scooter's built its brand on being Amazingly Fast, and that delivering on that promise across 900-plus locations requires technology that doesn't disrupt operations or the guest experience, calling high transaction volume and franchise complexity exactly what Olo is built to handle. Beyond the app backend, Scooter's now uses Olo for content and menu management and point-of-sale integration through the platform's APIs, giving the brand a single system to update pricing, seasonal drinks and promotions across every location rather than pushing changes store by store. The Olo Rails integration also lays the groundwork for expanded delivery access, following a separate delivery partnership Scooter's struck with DoorDash, which made the chain's menu available for delivery for the first time through participating locations. Migrating an entire ordering system across hundreds of franchise locations without disrupting daily operations depends on the underlying systems actually talking to each other cleanly. Gorilla Dash offers an Integrations feature designed to help franchise brands connect ordering, POS and delivery systems seamlessly, supporting the kind of large-scale technology transition Scooter's just completed with Olo. DoorDash introduces Brand Center, A platform for retailer intelligence, advertising, and catalog management. Published on 09/23/2026 at 12:37 pm EDT S&P Capital IQ DoorDash introduced Brand Center, a platform built for the marketing, supply chain, category, ecommerce, and national account teams to get a clearer view of what?s driving growth across the digital and physical shelf. New capabilities built on top of advertising solutions give brands direct ways to improve how their products show up for consumers, from spotting in-store availability gaps to updating product content. Brand Center brings together purchase-based signals from consumer orders and audit-based signals from shelf scans into a single platform. Where inventory insights reveal a need for physical shelf action, brands have the opportunity to take action through Merchandising Tasks, which connect brands in eligible locations with targeted in-store support from Dashers: shelf audits, restocking, item counts, and promotional displays. Inventory Insights: Combines consumer order data with insights from Dashers, including more than 1 million in-store shelf signals captured daily on average and analyzed using AI, to surface on-shelf availability and out-of-stock trends across retailers and stores. Brands can identify affected locations and estimated revenue missed. Consumer Substitution Insights: Shows what shoppers choose when an item is unavailable, including which brands and products capture that demand and the estimated revenue tied to those choices. When a shopper's intended product is unavailable, nearly 12% choose a competing brand or product, while more than 40% request a refund rather than select a substitute. Assortment Insights: Gives brands visibility into how their products are listed and presented across retailers on DoorDash. Brands can identify assortment and content gaps, including missing listings and incomplete product details, to help ensure consumers can find and purchase the products they expect. Catalog Editor: Gives eligible brands direct control over product images, descriptions, and categories in Brand Center, helping them keep information accurate and complete across retailers on DoorDash. Brand Center is now available to all U.S. advertisers. Certain Brand Center features are currently available only to eligible advertisers. (C) S&P Capital IQ - 2026
Grok Bot and Connectors in Tesla: 5 details that matter. Table of Contents Grok just expanded from your phone to your dashboard. As of September 22, 2026, Tesla owners can access Grok Bot and Connectors directly inside their vehicles - turning the car into something closer to an AI-powered personal assistant than a navigation terminal. Here's what the update actually means for owners, broken down into the five things worth knowing. 1. Grok Bot can handle real tasks - Not just answers. This isn't a smarter voice assistant for playing music or setting navigation. Grok Bot is designed to execute multi-step tasks: placing a DoorDash order, booking an OpenTable reservation, scheduling a calendar appointment, managing emails. According to background research, it can control 116 out of 170 tested vehicle commands - everything from adjusting climate and seat settings to opening the glovebox and launching websites in the Tesla browser. The distinction matters: previous in-car AI was reactive. Grok Bot is agentic. 2. Connectors are the bridge to your accounts. Grok Bot's real-world usefulness depends entirely on Connectors - the integrations that link Grok to external services like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and OpenTable. Without them, Grok can answer questions but can't actually do things on your behalf. The setup happens outside the car: you add Connectors in the Grok mobile app or at grok.com, and they carry over to your in-vehicle session once you're signed in. Think of Connectors as the permissions layer that makes the assistant actually useful on the road. 3. Grok Bot requires a SuperGrok Heavy subscription. Not every Tesla owner gets the full experience on day one. Grok Bot - the agentic, task-executing tier - is currently exclusive to SuperGrok Heavy subscribers. Basic Grok functions are available without a separate xAI account, but signing in unlocks higher usage limits. According to previous reports, access is expected to expand to additional subscription tiers over time, but no timeline has been confirmed. If you're not on SuperGrok Heavy, you'll have access to Grok's conversational capabilities but not the autonomous task execution. 4. Your car needs the right hardware and software. Compatibility isn't universal. According to background research, Grok requires an AMD infotainment processor and software version 2025.26 or higher. A Premium Connectivity subscription is also required for the feature to function. Compatible models include Model 3, Model Y, Cybertruck - and existing customer-owned Model S and Model X vehicles that meet the hardware requirements. If your car predates the AMD chip generation, Grok won't run regardless of software version. Check your vehicle's About screen to confirm your processor and software version before expecting the feature to appear. 5. The setup takes three steps. Grok's own announcement thread laid out the activation process clearly: The Connectors step is easy to overlook - it has to be done on your phone or a browser, not from the car itself. Set them up before your next drive so the integrations are ready when you need them. The underlying model running in the car is Grok Voice Think Fast 2.0, xAI's speech-to-speech system, which according to background research carries a response latency of approximately 0.70 seconds - fast enough to feel conversational rather than transactional. Whether Grok Bot becomes a genuine daily-use feature or a novelty will depend heavily on how well the Connectors perform in real driving conditions. The capability is now there; the question is whether the execution holds up at highway speed with one eye on the road.
