Requirements
  • The candidate must be able to handle multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The candidate must hold a Master’s Degree in strategic studies or a related field.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of senior-level experience in the Army or Joint staff conducting strategic planning, sustainment operations, or enterprise-Level 4 program or equivalent.
  • The candidate must have completed a Department of War-approved Military Education Level 4 program or equivalent.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating on an Army Service Component Command or Major Army Command G4 Staff.
  • The candidate must have experience converting complex Army and Department of War policies into actionable plans that support theater operations and mission execution.
  • The candidate must have experience preparing execution-level briefings, managing information flow, and enabling operational readiness.
  • The candidate must have experience summarizing complex concepts into executive-level papers or presentations.
  • The candidate must hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure plans and itineraries provide for appropriate meetings, briefings, and site visits, and provide advice in preparing materials and briefings.
  • Communicate the Army Materiel Command position on various issues, provide feedback on reactions from concerned agencies, and keep the Army Materiel Command informed about mission requirements, current and future operations, and sustainment shortfalls.
  • Keep Army Materiel Command leadership and staff apprised through briefings and weekly written reports, such as Information Papers or Executive Summaries, to the Army Materiel Command G3 Operations and Readiness Directorate.
  • Exercise tact, discretion, and judgment concerning inquiries and replies received from or conveyed to other agencies; advise and assist with developing and assembling background data and documentation; and research and evaluate program policies.
  • Provide support for the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System to plan, coordinate, and execute joint operations and worldwide deployments.
  • Use the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System to plan, monitor, and execute mobilizations and the deployment or employment of equipment.
  • Act as the primary communication bridge between Washington Field Office leadership and Army Secretariat or Headquarters, Department of the Army staffs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
